My wife and I watched the first episode Oct. 2010 out of boredom and curiosity. We were hooked instantly. And cannot get enough. Out DVR gets a pretty good workout

Tis generally considered rude to spoil which is why I was terribly vague as to what was up with Shane.

T-Dog really needs something and Lori. . .well without Shane perhaps I won't hate her as much. I suspect she'll spend next season making me cross my fingers at every close call though.

I seredipitously caught the finale' last year and thought, hey, how did I not know about this show. Then this year I recorded a bunch, but only watched the first ... I became bored.

Now Breaking Bad, that show has me totally hooked!

Haven't seen it or Game of Thrones. I am mistrustful of anything that gets too much hype which dates back to Lost and Heroes. Instead, I wait for the ones that stand the test of time (Sopranos, Arrested Development), watch them years later and then yell at everyone I know for not forcing me to watch them sooner. That way, I don't have to waste my time on garbage, and it has the added bonus of being mildly annoying for everyone involved. Win!

Besides, I'm on a bit of a Brit kick now. Peep Show and Life's Too Short. So much good!

Rick shows up and immediately heads back into town for Merle. Result: Walkers attack while few armed men are there, not to mention the fact the walkers were lead there by the alarm from the car.

Rick Leads us to the CDC and. . .oh shit that cost us another cast member.

Then he keeps searching for Sofie which results in Daryl getting shot.

Oh and he wants to have a sensible conversation about a barn full of walkers when frankly the sensible conversation is when do I put a bullet in Herschel, but assuming you're an idiot that conversation ends very very quickly.

Oh then he brings a stranger back to camp.

Hell between Rick and Carl if Shane shot the two of them and went back to sleep everybody'd be better off.

That's the interesting thing that was actually brought up in the second season. Rick just keeps fucking up and making bad decisions and Shane was almost always right. Problem was that Shane was a major league asshole and nobody was really sorry to see him go.
Carl...well, fuck him. He needs to be zombie dinner. That kid has caused more trouble than everyone else combined.
And Lori just needs to fucking go. What a bitch.

That whole thing where Lori basically tells Rick to kill Shane and then when he does (and it's even justified) she flips out. Rick should have shot her ass right there on the spot.

I liked the first season. Most of the second season however was hugely dull and made most of the characters (Lauri especially) completely unlikable
