My problem is I tend to want to do EVERYTHING...and in AC1, 'everything' is mind-killingly repetitive...

Oh, that is very true. I don't have that compulsion, I'm in it for the story. My brother makes fun of me for rushing through games, but I don't do side quests. Which hurt me in ME3, but in AC1 I think I was okay.

Secrets are great! I'm just impatient. I can't get myself to do a side quest when a huge, juicy plot bomb is waiting right around the corner.

Same reason 'one more chapter' turns into asleep at 6 AM with a finished book. XD
