I know that you have a great deal of financial savvy, and are a NYC resident. So, how much of NYC's revenue comes from individuals vis a vis from businesses?
Ishmael
I know you are asking Islandman, but I can say it depends on the business. Are you asking about revenue from an individual's taxes as opposed to revenue from businesses? Or the amount that individual residents actually give to businesses withn NYC?
Sorry if I sound obtuse, I woke up, couldn't go back to sleep and saw this thread.
There is a city balance sheet that enumerates the totals. It doesn't depend on the business at all. Period. End of discussion.
Ishmael
Sorry, didn't mean to get you riled up. Thought a fellow New Yorker could help you out.
You didn't help at all. The tax sources are well known. I-man has a better handle than I so I defer.
I am fully aware that some businesses pay nothing at all, that was NOT the question.
Ishmael
Ok, I didn't realize the urgency in your question, once again, sorry to take up posting space. Also, I wasn't getting at whether businesses pay tax, a little or not at all.
Whatever. Chill out. Islandman will be on in the mornng and then you can relax.

Thanks, Islandman!
But you meant page 39.
No worries, Ish can get riled up at the drop of a hat.Sorry, didn't mean to get you riled up. Thought a fellow New Yorker could help you out.
I was going by the 48/50 on my pdf tally, but yes, page 39 of the hard copy.
And I do endeavor to field the easy questions so as not to have you disturbed in the mornings.
You, sir, are a mensch who also appreciates my love of sleeping in.
While you're being extremely helpful, any thoughts as to where Ish is going with this? It's been quite a while since I had a vanity thread.
Of course, I thought 'their' argument was that businesses don't pay taxes, people do.
I suspect as much.
I'd rather talk about Bloomberg making it harder for me to get a large fountain soda.
Who the fuck does he think he is?
At least you can get a plastic bag for your groceries.
I politely decline them and bring my own hemp totes.
Which I then load into the SUV.

Tread lightly, I suspect he has a trap ready to spring!
How many fed tax dollars does NM pay in and how many tax dollars does NM suck out?
