Woke up today to find that stray dogs have been in the top paddock among the sheep.
21 lambs and 18 ewes have been ripped apart.
The fucking dogs go after the ones that run - meaning once they've pulled one down and started to rip into it, they lose interest and move on to the next one.
We thought we'd got the dogs last weekend.... shot 2 then.
But it seems there's more to deal with.
I have 2 lambs that might survive, but it's a long shot.
Bastards who let their dogs run need to be shot along with their fucking dogs :(

you tried llamas?
some farmers here say that sticking a few llamas in helps. big fuckers compared to sheep & dogs, they're quite aggressive and will attack rather than run.

I read that donkeys work too, but you probably already know that.

Carnage, literally.

That's refreshing.

Sorry to hear about your lambs, though.

Alpacas and donkeys do work. But sheep are funny... they won't stay around an alpaca, donkey or even a Merema if they haven't been raised with one.
It's not normally a problem here with dogs... my guess is someone down the way in one of the rentals has left and abandoned their pets (seen a few feral cats recently too).

I've just finished stitching the hind leg of one lamb. He looks quite perky, so he might make it. The other one is in shock though, so I think she'll die sometime today despite having had a dose of glucose and vitamins.

holy shit, what a mess
that really sucks, sorry to hear it

is it too much to ask for the future to hurry up and get here, so we can stick a machine gun-weilding robot out there to keep WQ's sheep safe? for fuck's sake, man

Your life is a fucking disaster wrapped in a shitty movie plagued with plot holes and Ashton Kutcher.

That works here too with the coyote population explosion.

Yeah, obviously I PLANNED this, just so I could make a thread on lit about it
You're not really this stupid in r/l, are you?

No, I'm not dumb enough to make threads about people finding me and revenge on an innocent woman after being busted for beating her child.

Real Carnage

Fucking deer ate most of my mator crop last night and tonight I had to pull out the big guns...

Human blood waste and hair.

What?
I never EVER beat a child, mine or anyone elses.
You bought into the shit other people posted about me, without checking.
Which makes you the dickhead.

Welcome to the GB! Be warned, people post stupid, false things here sometimes. It's best to just ignore it.

How did the revenge thing go?

Surprisingly well, given I didn't have to do a damn thing!
With the little one here visiting, bitchface decided to have a hell-party weekend.... and got stopped and alcohol and drug-tested by the cops on her way home. When she tested positive for drugs, the cops tore apart her car, and found a substantial quantity of illicit substances.
She's been on the phone to my man, moaning about her upcoming court date and the fact that her car has been impounded, poor dear
The grandparents are flying over to take care of the kids, because she's been advised that she's looking at a minimum 12 months.
So you see.... I didn't have to do anything, and the teen girl is happy as!

Oh, I know this!
I just get pissed off when people think every little thing that others say is real.
Especially given that I don't do that to anyone else here.
I take everyone at face value... Even the cow that keeps putting false info out there about me.
It's enough to make me think I should post a candyfluffynice thread every day!

Using llamas as livestock guards in North America began in the early 1980s, and some sheep producers have used llamas successfully since then.[18][19] They are used most commonly in the in western regions of the United States, where larger predators, such as the coyote, are prevalent. Typically, a single gelding (castrated male) is used.

Research suggests the use of multiple guard llamas is not as effective as one. Multiple males tend to bond with one another, rather than with the livestock, and may ignore the flock. A gelded male of two years of age bonds closely with its new charges and is instinctively very effective in preventing predation. Some llamas appear to bond more quickly to sheep or goats if they are introduced just prior to lambing. Many sheep and goat producers indicate a special bond quickly develops between lambs and their guard llama and the llama is particularly protective of the lambs.

Using llamas as guards has eliminated the losses to predators for many producers. The value of the livestock saved each year more than exceeds the purchase cost and annual maintenance of a llama. Although not every llama is suited to the job, most are a viable, nonlethal alternative for reducing predation,

That's what KRC wants, though. That's why she's not ignoring you, because you make her feel like she's successful. She's been ignoring me for a long time. I feign outrage, but I could give a fuck. Every time someone says some stupid shit about you, just prove them right, like I do. When they say I'm stupid, I don't argue; I say the stupidest thing I can think of.

The thing that gets me, is that I don't exaggerate my life in any way.
This is it. This is what I am and what I do.

Sure, I have a teen daughter that is about to have a baby.... So do umpteen millions of other parents.
Ok, so I have a blended family and all the issues that come with it.... So do millions of other people.
Fine, I am one of the lucky folk who don't have to stress about either work or money.... So do countless other people.
Add to that the fact that I am hot as fuck, have a great life, have kids that adore me and I them, and am loved by an exceptional man.

I think some people are jealous.
They want to be the kind of person that is ok putting the bad parts of themselves out there, as well as the good.
I pity those who can't be 100% true to themselves.... It must be very difficult having to maintain a 'persona' all the time.
