How will the world see him?
I think he looks very presidential, hes articulate.I dont seem him as someone who will embarrass us globally. As to actual policy, I dont think hes a bold man. I expect he will try to maintain the status quo wherever possible.
honestly, i'd love to read a good explanation as to why his public perception around the world is THAT important.
bush apparently had a 'bad' image. the world seemed to love obama. but has commerce, trade, lending, relations with other countries actually been affected by such qualities as to whether or not the foreign public does or doesn't love the guy?
the only time i can recall it that it seemed to make any significant difference was when reagan took over from carter.

Very close to my thought as well.

Makes sense. It kind of seems like there's no "there" there. I wonder if he has a coherent policy.

He will greatly contribute to the deepening of the crisis between Middle East and Western world (more importandly - the USA) by openly supporting only one side of the original conflict - Israel. He already made that clear. He is not going to try to mediate the conflict, he had already picked a side, which is an example of bad international politics. I do have a hope he might not show it so clearly, however.

He's also demonstrated his willingness to be completely stuck in the 50's by declaring "Russia is without question our number one geopolitical foe.”
Da, Tovarishch. Da.

Shhh, dont get the conservatives started on Russia, according to them libs have been helping prop up our "worst enemy" for 50 years.![]()
I agree, supporting the only country in the middle-east that likes America is a bad thing.![]()
It is sad that so many people think the Daily Show is great place to learn about politics. They end up sounding stupider than ditto heads.....
