I don't think we know enough about what she really thinks. Has she ever criticized Obama, Obama care? What are her thoughts on the Constitution? Romney needs to pick a real conservative, maybe a Governor or a Senator. Why would he want to allow Obama another chance to run against Bush?

I haven't heard that she is even interested. Aside from that she hasn't made her views known all that much.

I already distrust Romney to be much more than a lesser version of Obama, and Bush wasn't much better. Condi Rice is a smart individual, but she seems to be a little too Colin Powell-esque for my tastes. We need somebody that can put a boot in Mitt's ass, especially when it comes time to nominate the next SCOTUS replacement. Without a spine to ensure the court isn't turned into more of a circus than it already is, the country and the Constitution will be totally fucked. I'd feel a lot better if he picked Alan West....

Drudge is reporting she is emerging as the front runner.

It didn't take Romney long to figure out what you wanted to hear. If Condi wants to be on the GOP ticket, I'm sure she can learn just as fast as he did.

If not, Sarah Palin already knows the lines and she is looking for work.

WASHINGTON -- Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice is trying to tamp down any speculation she could be Mitt Romney's vice presidential running mate.

Rice told "CBS This Morning" she's not interested in joining Romney, who has more than enough delegates to win the presidential nod at the party convention in Tampa.

Rice said, "I didn't run for student council president. I don't see myself in any way in elective office."

Rice also said, "there is no way that I will do this because it's really not me. I know my strengths and weaknesses." She said Romney will pick a strong running mate and she'll support the ticket.

In a lot of ways Romney himself is an evolving candidate to a lot of conservatives, she's an unknown entity on domestic policy.
