Heinkel HE 115 warbird recovery

For those of you with an interest in these.

The twin-engined Heinkel He-115 torpedo bomber was hoisted out of the water by engineers and divers in a recovery operation in a fjord near Stavanger, Norway.
Now there are hopes the plane will be restored to its former glory and may one day fly again despite it sinking 120ft down to the silty sea floor in 1942 after it was damaged during a botched water landing.

I wondered though if the salt water would have made her unsuitable to return to flying condition. The video shows the paintwork is still pretty sound so maybe she retains her integrity.

A simple test would be to throw her off a roof. Scarlet that is.

You Euros oughta restore the pos to its former, full, fighting glory...

...then hold a reunion of all the surviving Euro Allied vets, crane-lift the pos up into the air, issue all the vets a machine guy, and let them go friggin' dogsofwar one last time until those friggin' socialist swastikas are blown to smitherreens.

Then dump whatever's left of the pos back into the drink where garbage naturally sinks to its own deserving level.
