After a long period, let's say roughly the Clinton-Bush years, the emphasis for women seemed to be rejecting the notion of looking like a model and being comfortable in their own bodies for the sake of their health and happiness.

Now I see Women's Health lying around and month after month it's back to diets, bikinis, and hot models on the cover...

Am I wrong? Has the message shifted under the fat creates health-care cost paradigm?

Did I say that?

I like women to be comfortable in their own skin. Some magazines support this and others do not.

There was a story in the news the other day about some 14 y.o kid who started a petition to make Seventeen stop photoshopping their models, and won.

I'd say the trend as per usual is going in all directions at once.

The American economy will collapse if people stop investing in the YOURE NOT OKAY corporate/political rackets.

Wanna buy a copy of my new DEBBIE BOONE, YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE Tribute Medley?

I have never understood the obsession.

I will take a happy, healthy pleasantly plump babe any day of the week. I have had it up past my eyeballs with the self absorbed, neurotic, psychotic, primadonna "whatevers".

My first wife was the latter.

Has your wallet recovered from all those years of torture ? Do you sleep better now or do you still hear the Charlie Brown type 'wump, wump, wump' voice ringing in your ears every time you try to hear the words coming out of her mouth?

Poisonous to dogs?

When subjected to large quantity...

Bitch hit me over the head with a TV and then she tried to stab me.

Then she left me for another guy, but I had my revenge, she left him for another woman...

:D :D :D

I was very young, it was a very brief marriage and it was a no-contest divorce...

;) ;)

But the sex was fantastic.

She used to bring her girlfriends to bed...

I guess I should have seen a lot of things coming, especially the TV. :D

It is business. Either say let's move! and sell diet products, or say, meh, it is OK and sell Krispy Kreme. Clothes can be sold to both groups. Everybody is happy.

That, or government cannot make their minds up. One the one hand, let's move for a good photo-op and feel good measure, or leave-them-alone-it-is-not-their-fault campaigns.
