This is a remarkable interview with Roberts when he was a newly-minted chief justice. Check out the discussion beginning on page 9 but, utterly astonishingly look at the second half of page 13. Mr. Obama (calling him President engages my gag reflex) berated and strong armed the court in April after the oral arguments had ended, and his whining was word for word what Roberts said he never wanted his court to be...6 years before. Roberts' court is now widely considered a failure, but reasons opposite to those he was on record as seeking to avoid:

You know this automatically marginalizes anything else you say in the thread, right? He is the President of The United States, whatever we think of him. And I know you know my opinion of him, so you know this is not me defending him. Just meta-commentary.
