I'm re-working a story I submitted today but am about to pull to review for a few days. I've created a university campus which has an arboretum, in my mind. It is based on a real uni but I'll never say which one.

What single tree would stand out as great when driving up to a two hundred year old gothic building?

PLEASE GOD, NO HAGLING. JUST SINGLE WORD ANSWERS!

Thanks both choices seem to be pine. I originaly had Oaks. But Oaks can die after 200 years which some will live up to 500 years. Thanks I will go with a Pine.

Well if you're pining, there's little I can do.

Huon pine.

There's a stand of Huon that has been dated as 10,000 yrs old.
The stand is comprised of all male plants - Huons can send up new trees from a fallen one, so all the trees in this stand are from one original.
