Obama Care, How Will Be Judged On Thursday?

It can't exist without funding from the House.

In the end the American people are going repeal this law in the ballot box.

With a filibuster-proof majority? Because that's the only way. Go ahead and predict that outcome and I'll bookmark it. November is right around the corner!

This was an enlightening morning.

Apparently, Congress can tax people based upon anything.

They can boost your taxes if you don't eat foods from the fundamental food groups which they determine are necessary for your good health, because otherwise, since the rest of us are now obligated to pay for your health care, you're costing us all money.

They can add a special tax if you don't keep your toenails trimmed, too.

And if they decide to tax you at 110% of your income, well... you'll just have to find a way to borrow that extra 10% plus whatever you need to live on.

Good luck on that repeal.

If repealing was going to be a piece of cake, they never would have gone the federal court route. Besides which, you can't repeal the ACA without a better idea, and they simply don't have one.

Why don't you just say this is a football game as far as you're concerned and you have no more understanding of what's happening than a June bug?

Fuck off Byron. Seriously, who told you that your opinion matters to anyone but you?

This is a major victory for our President and a huge step forward toward universal health care for all Americans.

Its not that much of a victory. Honestly Obama was kinda screwed no matter the outcome. Yes, the ACA has been upheld, however now he has this tax issue, and lets be honest, the word "tax" gives many Americans hives.

I was reading the GOP plan for replacement, and yeah, it is not much.

You only get hit with the "tax" should you refuse to buy health insurance.

The law is economically unsustainable.

true

BUT EVERYONE WANTS what they think is in it

They figure, we get it now....someone pays for it....LATER

Flashback: Obama Says Individual Mandate Is Not A Tax, “I Absolutely Reject That Notion”…

From September 20, 2009:

President Obama signaled in our interview that he was prepared to address some of the concerns raised by key Senator Jay Rockefeller, who called the Baucus bill a “big middle class tax increase” this week.

That means he’ll support more subsidies for middle class families.

But in our most spirited exchange, the President refused to accept the argument that a mandate to buy health insurance is equivalent to a tax.

Fuck off, "Ulaven Underscore Demorte."

Seriously, who told you that your opinion matters to anyone but you?

This is a major victory for our blithering idiot of a President and a huge opportunity for know-nothing sycophants of his, such as yourself, to give him a great big virtual blowjob.

Get to it.
