Will regular real life make a man and hardened individual out of you?
I have no money, I have no drivers license, I have no college education.
My family blatantly lies to me and works against me.

I don't mean to be cruel but you are a sad, sad man. I think life gives exactly what you expect of it and you couldn't recognize a blessing or a break if it smacked you in the face. Cut you family out of your life (though I suspect they give you enough help that you keep coming around). Do you have two legs? you could find a job even if it takes you two hours to get there. You feel sorry for yourself and drown in self pity. No one is to blame but you. Find any kind of a job and you will feel better about yourself. This is the only time I'm going to point out the obvious to you. Happy travels.

As one of Mike's worst abusers in his various nonsensical threads, I feel I have some responsibility to speak up in his behalf. If half of what Mike tells us about himself is true along with God knows what he is NOT telling us, it appears that Mike is not capable of supporting himself alone.
I personally know an individual that suffered brain damage in a motorcycle wreck who is at a much higher functional level than Mike. This person has held a few jobs, drives a car and holds normal conversations although his ability to enunciate many standard voice sounds has been obviously damaged.
But this person continues to live with his parents because he also is occasionally given to semi-violent, argumentative outbursts. He is on medication to inhibit this response, and it works well most of the time. But he still could not live on his own.
I suspect circumstances may be similar for Mike and that it is also possible he does not have the same loving family environment as that of my friend. It may be that Mike's parents are nuttier than he is. Or maybe not. The point is, he may not have nearly the amount of options you are assuming he has.
I don't have a college education so finding a job making enough money to afford a decent living would be extremely difficult. My job and career options are extremely limited.
I have an IQ of 89 and was in special education throughout the last two years of high school. People with mild mental deficiencies such as myself often have difficulty getting by on their own.
In today's society, you're dead in the water unless you have a bachelors degree or greater. I have learning disabilities and am not intelligent enough to go to college. Especially not at a university. It would simply be too difficult and too advanced for me.
Most people do not have any intellectual limitations and can literally do anything that they want with their lives.
And it's awfully difficult to live on your own without any means of personal transportation. The buses don't run everywhere and obviously I'm not going to walk.
Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that you're legs don't work
And all this time, I just thought you were lazy!

It will make a woman out of you...
I've said it before. You may not be able to attend college and get a degree (although you write well enough in your posts that somewhere along the line you were able to learn English skills) but some kind of trade school is worth looking into...
But go on being Dolly II if it makes you feel better...
I could work, but my job options are extremely limited and I probably wouldn't even be able to afford a small apartment with five other roommates.
If I had a BA/MA in "X" field of study from an accredited university, there is a small chance that I would be able to find decent employment. Unfortunately college-level academics transcends my intellectual comprehension.
If you knew my past and the social environment in which I come from, you would immediately understand why I am the way that I am.
Again Mike, college degrees are not the "be all". I know lots of people with degrees, who are working low paying jobs, just because that's all they can get right now. I also know people who barely finished high school, who make twice & three times what I make a year. What determines your income is you & how much you want to make of yourself. Example....one of my neighbors didn't graduate high school & was working for a construction company. He got laid off & the only place hiring was McDonalds. He had three kids to fees, so he took it. In two years, he not only went back & got his GED, he was the manager of two branches, he was pulling money together, to get his own franchise. Its been 15 years & he now owns 5 McD franchises & they're some of the most successful ones in the state. So, see, no college.
It is extremely difficult to have a successful career or high paying job of any kind without a minimum of a bachelors degree. 99% of employers won't even interview you if you don't have a BA from an accredited university.
How do you know? When was the last time you actually went out & applied for a job? No matter what kind of degree you have or don't have, you're gonna start out on the bottom of the ladder.
