Be warned, your PM's are not private !!

Membership in Mensa should preclude one from membership in Mensa; anyone willing to pay someone to tell them they're smart is an idiot.

I'd be a lot more willing to pay money to Mensa to have them tell me I'm smart, than I would be willing to pay money to Literotica so a lot of not so smart poorly skilled writers could tell me how dumb I am. Thank God I don't do that!

I bet your mensa buddies would get a real kick out of your Lit posts. It would trigger a reevaluation of the entrance standards.

Mensa's like one of those Who's Who clubs. You pay your $50 and you get your name in the book and a nice certificate (suitable for framing).

If you are part of a group, any group, that in someway holds itself out as exclusive - you're a douchebag.

Go join the Moose Lodge, they have 50 cent drafts.

Agreed! The Shriners are good too. They do a lot of charity work, while Mensa's only altruistic goal is to distribute birth control to the normals.

My grandpappy was a Mason... he was like the Grand PooBah of the Masons. I don't think he ever placed a block though. I remember when he died, the Masons death squad came and did some hocus-pocus at the casket. He was still dead though.

Maybe I'll suggest to Mensa that we come up with a T-shirt;

'We are the 2%...we are that 1%, plus another 1% for Affirmative Action purposes'

It's okay.

*pulls down a large screen showing a cross section of the trollish brain*

I apologize in advance for the small size of the image.

As you can see, when initial attempts to create a groundswell of righteous butt-hurt fail owing to the inconvenient intersection of facts, reality, and other things that can ruin the day of the morbidly indignant, they often resort to spouting utter nonsense, parroting everything they hear, and chewing on coffee tables.

...

This is going to be hell on coach's molars.
can i favourite this post?
no?
shit.

*raises hand*

Are you claiming the OP as one of your alts? Well played.
*facepalm*

he seems so passionate about convincing us, too. shame.

and who 'estimated' that score for Obama? i don't believe it's right at all.

Yeah, they do some weird crap. Did he wear the old square and compass ring?

He did, as I recall from my youth. However, he died at nearly 100 years old and had the Alzheimer's for his last decade. Jewelry was secondary to making sure he had pants on. I remember the Masons put a gavel in his casket. I wanted that for myself, but they guarded the damn thing like it was made of gold.

Hah! You are good. You studied me well. You discovered my second language no schooling ever taught me. One I have always reserved as my only calling card in situations where everyone else thinks I have no clue. Fucking awesome! Kudos to you! I am impressed.

I love the smell of sarcasm in the morning.

...

Pity it's past eight pm.

This defense is about as sane as the thoughts offered at Jerry Sandusky's interview after his discovery as a serial pedophile, wherein his defense was that he didn't mess with all the young boys with whom he came into contact.

Nonsensical tangents can sprout nonsensical tangents?

Gods below...

Fractals are everywhere.

Mensa will take any asshole, so long as the asshole comes attached to a high IQ. At the time I joined in 1968, that meant an IQ of about 140 or above....but I originally qualified based on my ACT and SAT scores (I took both since different schools I'd applied to required one or the other entrance exam), having scored at the 99th percentile. (Mensa is for the top 2%, ie 98th percentile or higher, on any of a number of standardized tests which they've determined to be acceptable.)

Interesting how preoccupied people become with this subject.... especially when it comes to Bush and a well publicized125 IQ... most of our Presidents didn't qualify. Obama doesn't either, with an IQ estimated at about 115.

I find this entire post wholly unsurprising.

I just hate it when they correct my spelling!

Laughing in the breakroom here on my phone at work telling people 'never mind' when they ask what's funny. Will cont. reading soon.
Not sure If Its come up yet but when I moderated for Comedy Central it was only the Admin, not the Mods who could get into PMs. That was when there were real threats and the reporting party was giving permission to gen. evidence.
