Well coach, there are many people who don't know how to think regardless of party. Plenty of libs think the GOP is a party of lemmings. One's opinions aren't necessarily fact, again regardless of party.

OK. How about, instead of just tossing out demeaning language, you actually listen to what people have to say? This message is directed to both sides.

To be honest, sir, you are mistaking SOCIAL thought for PRACTICAL thought. When dealing with social thought, we are talking about how we deal with human beings. With practical thought, we are talking about we deal with science. Scientifically, Liberals tend to be much more open-minded about things, more willing to share them, and less bound to rigged ideologies (To get a basic understanding of this, see most medical scientific advances currently on hold. Some are held back by liberals, other conservatives, but the former point to the PRACTICAL aspects of the device ie. does it actually make people healthier and safer, without drawbacks that over-play the benefits, while the later is on more IDEOLOGICAL aspects ie. We can't do stem cell research because God dosen't like the idea.

Also, conservatives aren't very fond of change. Indeed, history is littered with the great inventions of the fast-thinking liberal, whereas conservatives have fought scientific advancement from square one. Of course, maybe the wheel would have ended up square, but a square wheel is better then having no wheel at all (My great-great-great-great grandpa used his feet and arms... why shoulden't I?) That's why we should be thankful that liberals and conservatives build the world together.

And, conservatives can be major lemmings too. Ever been to a church, gun club, or a corporate board room? The difference is liberals tend to form "group clusters" where the group's opinion is decided together, whereas conservatives tend to form "gang clusters", where the group opinion is formed by whomever manages to grab power.

Are you more interested in setting up straw men to denigrate my career as a military officer, or as a Quality Manager in the Medical Device industry post military... it's important to know whether one should wear a bullet proof vest or a bring antivenom... or were you wanting to find reason for assailing my leading groups on camping and kayaking events into the wilderness areas I enjoy, in which case I always carry a pistol anyway.

I'm mearly saying that if you'd rather live without electricity, good steel, air travail, all the things the space program has brought to us (such as sunglasses and protective cloths), most physics, most mathematics (and therefore modern architecture) the internet, the fire department, the police system, print, electronic print, modern language, ect. (these are just a small sampling... I'd rather not write them all. That would take hours if not days), then be my guest and go live in rural Congo somewhere.

Pistols: The old establishment (conservatives) where all for leaving the gunpowder invention behind for the old ways of "personally responsible" combat, hand on hand. Not only that, but liberals worked with all the science behind not only how to effectively make gunpowder, but how to safely and accurately use it by applying chemistry, math, and physics, as well as made the nessicery reforms to adopt it to the real world. The traditionalists where then blown, whey they initiated combat, into a personally responsible pile of guts.

Bulletproof Vest: Do you realize the amount of science that had to go into making those? How long real bullet-proof armor was virtually non-existant? Not only did it take liberal thinkers to accept a change in the status quo about gun combat and "honor", but also to find exactly what it was that would protect a person, as opposed to just praying to their deity of choice.

And yes, some liberals speak about the "wavey lines", but those are important too. Without basic chemical understanding, the only way to even get an idea about what, say, a new medicne would do it to stick it in a person... and if they die, you are held "personally responsible" for their death and shot/stoned. In other words, people would kill off alot of great talent on inevitable mistakes.


There are many liberals, however, who do much more "real" things, my your perception. Benjamin Franklin, for one. Hippocrates, whom I already mentioned, Henry Ford and his assembly line (which, ironically enough, restricted personal responsablity, making the process more efficient), and many, many others.

And while you continue to belittle liberal contributions (With NO evidence or explanation, I might add), I have yet to see you bring one example of conservative contributions of science.

What we now have evidence for is the sweeping geneality of conjectural magnificence... creatively assuming credit for time and all travel within it... perhaps the factual data, such as the name of the developer of the first antivenom would have been a reach too far, going back into antiquity and all... no evidence or explanation indeed!
