The Mansion

Ensconced comfortably in her office with the air conditioning already flowing through the room, a pencil tucked between her teeth, she stares at the screen of her computer idly, contempting an elf. Then a warrior and finally, a cop. Today may well prove a busy day but that depends on she feels today. Hopefully, it will be another good day, despite the predicted heat.

Gee, thanks Cait. What'd I ever do to you!

The Witch stops by the Mansion on her way home, handing over a yellow bucket style vase filled with daisies to the maid that answers the door.

Asking that they be passed on to the lady of the house whenever is best suitable along with her apologies for possibly intruding on a private moment, the Witch continues on her way. A smile on her lips.

The maids brought her daisies and the message. Daisies. But that meant.... no..... really? But why would there be people in her bathroom? While she showered?

*grins impishly* Wrong elf, Milady.

*grins impishly* Wrong elf, Milady.

Why? Because she was feeling short on inspiration, and I know the sight of you in the shower is certainly damn inspiring to me!

-Grins-

Sleep had come quickly, but exhausted as he was he found himself waking earlier than he cared to admit. Deciding he might as well make himself useful he kisses her forehead, then rose to head off to the kitchen.

The smell of sausage, eggs, biscuits filled the air. A note written quickly, placed on his pillow.

Cooking breakfast since you worked so hard yesterday, come get some when you are ready baby girl.

Papa Bear.

The final touch, coffee dribbling out of the pot nozzle. He made a face, but quickly took a swallow of orange juice to wash the scent out of his system. One of the problems of having a heightened sense of smell. Ugh.

Her nose twitched. Coffee? Other scents invaded her senses. Shoving the hair out of her eyes, she sat up on the edge of the bed with a yawn and a stretch. Her hand reached for her hair clip as she gathered and twisted the red mass on her head before adding the clip.

A quick glance to the pillow beside her had her eraching for the note she found there. A quicker smile quirked her lips and she made short work of getting her tush off the bed and moving toward the kitchen. The sight that greeted her, warmed her heart. She leaned against the doorway, her eyes following his movements.

"Good Morning, Papa Bear. You're up early."

The sound of a sleepy voice turns his attention from his work. Setting the flipper down, wiping his hand on a towel he walked over to the coffee pot and poured her a cup. Closing the distance between them he leaned in to claim a kiss, then hand her the steaming cup.

"Morning baby girl. I ended up waking up pretty early, couldn't go back to sleep."

"Morning baby girl. I ended up waking up pretty early, couldn't go back to sleep."

He came toward her with the steaming cup and hooked an arm about his waist, fingertips playing across his lower back as he kissed her. Her free hand took the coffee cup and held it out, an arms distance as she took another kiss.

"You should have woke me." Her murmur was soft, sleepy still.

Even as she spoke the words, she knew he wouldn't have. They had both been busy yesterday. The heat of yesterday had taken its toll on her which made her a grumpy person, but until they fixed what was wrong with her, she just needed to learn to adjust to the circumstances.

Goosebumps flooded under his shirt. Her touch was pure pleasure. A deep rumble rattled in his broad chest as she kissed him again. When broke it to speak he sighed in pleasure.

"Not a chance. You were really busy yesterday. Once you made it to sleep I wanted you to stay that way. Besides, you are here now and that is just fine with me."

Pressing a kiss to her forehead, he smiled. His own arms dropping to rest on her hips, lightly stroking in a lazy manner.

Her head found its usual place on his chest. Coffee, for the moment, forgotten. Unheard of. There must have started to snow in hell.

One hand drifted up her figure. Taking time to run fingers up her back, her shoulders. Finally he tangled them into that crimson mass and gathered it at the back of her head as he just cradled her head against his chest. His familiar, happy rumble the only sound he made.

Such a wonderful way to start her day. The day's temperature was rising and all to soon, she'd be forced inside, seeking out the coolness the house offered. For now, however, she walked in her gardens, among the roses, the hummingbirds, and twittering birds hopping along tree branches. Butterflies fluttered past her occasionally. She paused to lean over, to draw in the sweet luxurious scent the roses gave, plucking off a deadhead here and there.

A light breeze blows this morning, a sharp contrast to the last couple of days and the contrast is most welcome. Sitting on the back porch, enjoying coffee while her minds spins with a response for Se7en. Idly she watches the hummingbirds feed. Such fascinating tiny creatures.

Her mind also ponders upon he-who-wanders-the-mansion, with a slight grin. The maids, have settled down though their attitude could use improving. That is Ice however, always creating havoc in the female form, even just by walking through the place. He keeps her on edge, on her toes, she silently is willing to admit. But it is more of a cat and mouse game that she takes in stride and with an ease of mind.

Her thoughts flutter to Daddy, who even now, is sleeping soundly in her bed. Pillows littered on the floor where he pushed them. She laughed softly at the thought. Wicked thoughts flow through her mind. Yep. Will need to do something about that. Shortly or soon.

Then there is the gentle wind. He breezes through her life like a refreshing breath. Never overpowering. Can not be ignored. Not that she wishes that anyway. Soon. Hopefully. Mentally she crosses her fingers.

The world is a nice place at the moment. Quiet. Peaceful. Relaxing.
