A question of what to expect on this forum...

I could defend myself, but I most certainly don't have to. Least of all to you.

So! I elect not to.

Most of the time I ignore stupid PMs; however, sometimes I must play whack-a-troll.

Well, whack a troll IS my favorite game to play.

I agree. It seems a little silly. Simply because you have the right to speak certainly doesn't mean you have the right to be heard. And all that jazz.

Seven years, huh? I originally joined back in 2006. I was around til about 2008 and then I took my hiatus.

I'm confused. You say you joined lit in 2006, stayed for two years, then took a hiatus. After you came back you didn't remember your password, so you chose this name. However, your join date says that you joined in 2007, during the time of your original time at lit. Care to enlighten us?

Originally, I joined in 06 for the SRP forum. After about a year, I created this account. There were times I wanted to write with some people, talk to some people, but not others. So I created this account. To be incognito.

And then my hiatus. When I came back...I couldn't remember the username or password for my original account. I couldn't remember the password for this one, either, but I was able to reset it.

Now...when you say...

found another one...

Another troll picture. Silly.

That said, Primalex isn't a troll, he's just an asshole; he's one of those people who uses honesty to excuse his being an asshole and since he's an asshole often his honesty is negative and rude. But he's honest about being an asshole, so you don't get to act surprised when he acts like an asshole. There are people, both on this forum and in life, who are assholes in hiding; I prefer the ones who are recognizable. And, on the flip side, if he says something nice to you then you know he's not just flattering you.

Quite right. OF COURSE you were speaking of the troll picture.

That just leaves me wondering what the semantic difference is between troll and asshole.

Anyway. So long as we're honest about using the excuse that honesty is an excuse to be asinine, then I'm good.

Trolls post with the express purpose of pissing people off. They might not even believe what they post, it's a game. They'll say the grass is purple and the sky is green if it will get people up in arms. Assholes are just that way, it's not a game for them; pissing people off is a bi-product of their personality, not the goal.

I have this sneaking suspicion that you could actually explain the game of cricket to me. Kewl!

This is so perfect and true. You managed to label someone an asshole without seeming to judge whether being an asshole is a good or bad thing. It just is.

I'm in awe. :)

Trolls need to eat just like everyone else, so why feed 'em bread crumbs? They least expect the meal above their bridges to be packing serious heat: a stylized 24/7 all-you-can-eat excess buffet. Hey, it's not a game. It's a challenge of epic proportion!

Slap 'em with their own prime rib, and don't forget the au jus.

But... not just any troll or asshole will do.

Primalex?

He may be a dude worthy of the darker side of sadistics, and -that- is actually a high compliment.

*chuckles*

And I'm beginning to suspect he likes the punishment in a non-consensual consent way. Why else would he troll you?

...

Oh, that's right.

He's a DOMINANT MAN, dammit!

*grins*

Boys are so silly.:cattail:

Why do I have a strange feeling that I'm gonna get rick roll'd if I click on that link?

I've never rick roll'd anyone in my life. I'm not a "mob mentality" type - as any of the regulars here will tell you.

I do like me some Monty Python though.

It's arguable that asshole's post with the intent of of pissing people off, too, though. This feels like a which came first, the chick or the egg, discussion. If a person is a troll, can he also be an asshole, is he necessarily an asshole...and if a person is an asshole, can he also be a troll...

Really I think I've confused myself enough as it is. Plus the cricket thing...I think I ought be satisfied with the explanation I've gotten and be grateful.

I'm in agreement that boys are silly. I don't know folks well enough to be able to say...or respond...or comment...So. I'll just nod my head in agreement and smile.

*Nods head in agreement, and smiles.*

Rick rollin' someone isn't necessarily a bad thing. Perhaps humorous, maybe a little annoying. Although I've never done it to anyone in my life either. Anyway. Just trying to figure out the facetious ones around here is all.
