Asus Eee Transformer, Tab, or Laptop?

Heya felllow Literoticans!

I've got a decision to make for my mobile computing future: What device to purchase? I'm trying to decide between the Asus Eee Transformer, the Tab (which looks like a PDA with a touchscreen), or a laptop as my next one. Currently my mobile computing devices are my Asus Eee 4G netbook and my cellphone (for when the laptop is not a good decision to take along).

Laptop
Advantages: size, Ethernet port (so no need to add wireless point to my current network at home), and can run the same software as my desktop.
Disadvantages: Price and size (which would make it impractical to have with me 24/7).

Tab
Advantages: Size, price, and can sync with the desktop via USB.
Disadvantages: Runs apps instead of same software, might not be good for writing stories on-the-go with. Battery time might also be a problem. Would need to add a wireless access point to my network for at home usage. Also small storage capacity likely, even with a SD card slot.

Asus Eee Transformer
Advantages: Middle of the road when comes to price, can be both a tablet and a notebook (when as notebook has 2 USB ports), and can probably sync via USB to a desktop.
Disadvantages: No Ethernet port, so I'd need to add a wireless access point. Runs apps as well, and storage is also limited on the device (though SD card slot can increase this).

I'll be using the device for the following purposes: writing on the go (especially at work during my breaks), keeping track of my schedule and contacts, some music listening and entertainment when I do my laundry at the laundromat (right now that's totally boring), and general web browsing.

In the end which one should I go for?

I have the transformer tf300. I don't have the dock as all I wanted was the pad to stream hd video to a TV but on the Transformer forums people have been able to use a USB-ethernet dongle to run it wired.

You have to decide what you are going to use it for the most. Checking email on the bus? Watching movies? Reading books? Writing long documents? You can't down-select to a device type until you prioritize your needs.

That said, I'd get the transformer, myself. Sounds like the perfect compromise.

There is no way in hell I'll ever buy an iPad, though I will consider an Airbook if I go the way of another laptop. Had one when I first got my own computer and stupid Asus model I got kept overheating on me. Not to mention, I got a lot happier when I finally saved up enough to buy the desktop.

Though I'm starting to lean towards the Transformer myself.
