They treat both types 1 and 2. And one guy on the news report I saw was similar to you.
63 and on dialysis 3 times a week.
The place is called the Metabolic Rehabilitation Clinic. I will find out what I can and send you a msg.
It looks VERY interesting!
Stand by......

Google was useless with the only one mentioning metabolic was for those treated with pills only which are the older people who system has slowed down.

SIMILAR TO ME AGED 63 :eek: WTF

Oh wait thats only 4 years away, can you look up depression now :(

Only up side is Koala Bear is older. :D

I had a look & couldn't do what they require as I do my dialysis every second day, one day on one day off which wouldn't allow me to attend.

I do have access to Diabeties Education Centre at the local hospital just down the road when I need or want it & dietitians are a pain as Diabetic one disagrees with the Renal one & same in reverse, I don't know why they are not educated in dealing with both sides. My renal team is extreemly pleased with the way BANDIT:heart: is caring for me & my blood results back that up.

I will enquire as to a modified program I might be able to use as aprt from the above the hospital that one you linked parking & travel at the times required are a real problem too.

Sounds like I'm dodging it but I am doing fine with BANDIT's:heart: love, support & assistance.

Thanks for thinking of me.

Sorry to hear about this. I had someone dear to me who had diabetes and she didi not take care of herself as she should have and it took its toll on her. As I see you already do, appreciate everyone's support even if you think it is unnecessary. This is very important for your health as well as for those special people who care so much about you and give you their support!

Hope all goes well for you!:rose:

Hmmmmmmm, *looks curiously* no, thank you...I think I'm comfortable with things as they are at this moment in time. If things should ever change, I have a special someone I'd like to assist me with that. ;)

Awesome, that is wonderful that you are leading life with some gusto!

I don't suggest for one minute that you did! :)

Are you getting out into your garden, Orlanth, or is the leg stopping you from exercising your green thumb?

i meant to say I didn't want to break it the 1st time let alone the 2nD

Well next one in FNQ will suit you a lot better with less travel or dealing with bloody airlines who just don't care about disabled people wanting to flat with them in their new planes that they can cram more people into.

We will need a cheapish but good place to stay near food & other facilities & no bloody hills, poor Frisky was all sweaty struggling up the hills.
