I have just brought in a big log and put it on the leftover coals from last night.
It's full of woodgrubs, and I can hear them popping as they heat up :D

Fahrenheit is the finer scale.

Celcius is for chemistry, not for daily life.

That said, burn the grubs. They suck, and deserve a fiery death.

Woodgrubs are good salmon bait. But digging them out of the middle of a log sucks.

 But, it's . . . oh, yes. Winter in Australia.

I can see the snow on the Ben Lomond ski field from here. No skiing for me this year though.... at least, not till the ortho surgeon gives me the all-clear.

So it's about 30 degrees farenheit (?). Not bad for a late fall day WQ. It's 80 here today and I am doing anything I can to beg, borrow, or buy a rain.

It was 97 Deg.F on the drive home from work today... 102 Deg.F in the parking lot.

And no it is not a "Dry heat".

I can't wait until it gets hot.

It's late spring here. It snowed on the mountain yesterday and it's lush and green with roses blooming profusely. Im still wearing turtlenecks, wool and rain boots. I'm ready for the drought of summer.

Positively subtropical by 1pm this arvo.... made it into double digits!
10 deg C, top temp.

If that's what you call winter, can we swap? Had -34 C in February.

It's only a week into winter so far. But we are lucky here - we are above the fog line, and below the snow line. Mid-winter temps are around minus 5 to +5 on the coldest days.

I live in Phoenix AZ and it's nine months of triple-digit temperatures with almost no perspiration. The winters only last a few months and can be quite warm.

I CANNOT FUCKING STAND LIVING HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can top that. Lived in a place called Marble Bar (google it).
Easily 50*C in summer, 35*C in winter, night temps in the minus.
The tar on the roads was always melting, so the govt replaced it with concrete.

The climate here is NOT HEALTHY!

We only get about 10-15 days of rain per year.

9 months STRAIGHT of 100+ degree temperatures takes it's physical and psychological toll!
