Proof reading one of my stories, I ran grammar check, and this is the actual error message it gave for one of my sentences:

Penis appears badly constructed.

A badly constructed penis?

I consequently went back and edited it to read "humongous penis".

Maybe the initial idea you had for the sentence was only half-cocked.

I don't know why but the first thing that popped into my mind was Bill Clinton. I guess one that makes you easily recognizable in court would probably be "badly Constructed."

I think what's funny is that you tried to use Grammar Check. Having been constructed by computer geeks, it's for computer manuals, not adult fiction.

Actually, it was designed for business letters. That's still not good for fiction, adult or otherwise.

It isn't even good for business letters. If you aren't good with grammar yourself, M$ Word's grammar check will get you into even deeper shit that you've gotten yourself into.

But it will catch some egregious errors—like inadvertent word doubling and some mismatches between verbs and subjects. I run a lot of stuff through it just for that. (But I never work in Word; I use a text editor.)

My WordPerfect Grammatik offers a number of settings: Very Strict, Formal Memo or Letter, Technical or Scientific, Documentation or Speech, Student Composition, Advertising, Fiction or Grammar-As-You-Go. To date, I have not found a setting which does not raise ridiculous objections.

And despite having the Offensive Language Filter turned off, it always reminds me that "cock, cunt and fuck" are offensive, and suggests that I find a better word.
