What do people here think about political porn?

I.e. erotica and pornography dealing with controversial, well-known political figures.

What kind of dynamic is at work?

Just seems like too much reality for me - just turn to the first pages of most newspapers anywhere in the world and there is the plot line.

As an Aussie, our big news this week is the federal member who is accused of using his official credit card for prostitutes. He's denied everything even though his credit card, mobile phone and travel & expenditure records show he was there numerous times. He says he was set up even though he signed off on his own records!

The dynamic is the celebrity aspect except, as politicians, they have already lost the gloss in most people's eyes.

So it's a matter of "hits too close to home"?

For instance, I rarely see catfight/wrestling stories between American Democrat and Republican female stalwarts. People genuinely cannot get turned on in any situation involving Ann Coulter, Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell?

Perhaps if it is a dynamic of "hate sex". I don't see much of it?

In the case of the people you named, most if not all of their own work is a kind of political pornography, but it only appeals to their target audience.

In terms of political porn with well known figures; not really my thing because you know it's fake.

But I do think a story featuring political characters is very erotic, and I plan on writing one for this Sept/October.

The political aspect adds an extra layer of hotness, because the person has to be even more proper and is expected to be even more perfect. It's kind of like seeing a business women or a soccer mom, only the stakes are raised and sex becomes even more taboo with them. Plus I'm a political junkie.

Hey, it turns me on to think of them getting taken hard. But then I also have visions of tax collectors getting taken roughly. That's the sadist combining with the anarchist in me.

I did write a porn tale about two fictitious members of Congress having a bipartisan relationship, another one about a fictitious Governor and his campaign manager getting close, and a third about a fictitious President committing incest with his widowed sister. But nothing about RL politicians so far.

I agree with the post above. I'll admit it, I've fantasized quite a few times about female pundits on the other side of the isle. As mentioned, it's like banging the tax collector really hard. Plus opposites attract don't they?
