CNN reports:

Washington (CNN) -- When presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney appears before Latino small-business owners in Washington on Wednesday, he'll address a group whose explosive birth rates foreshadow a seismic political shift in GOP strongholds in the Deep South and Southwest.

"The Republicans' problem is their voters are white, aging and dying off," said David Bositis, a senior research associate at the Joint Center for Political and Economic Studies, who studies minority political engagement.

"There will come a time when they suffer catastrophic losses with the realization of the population changes."

Over the next several generations, the wave of minority voters -- who, according to U.S. Census figures released this week, now represent more than half of the nation's population born in the past year -- will become more of a power base in places like Alabama, Mississippi and Georgia. That hold will extend across the Southwest all the way to California, experts say.

The coming political revolution could result in a massive changing of the guard on nearly every level of government, potential cultural clashes, and the type of political alliances that are now considered rare.

Not to worry. Right thinking minorities know theyll need to import whites to prevent America from becoming a shithole like every other black or hispanic paradise. They know that without whites theyll soon be picking cotton and grapes for masters of color. No one but whites let them get away with a free ride.

Let's see, Pat Buchanan gets fired from MSNBC for daring to write about this very thing in Suicide Of A Superpower. Now it's politically correct for King and others like him (the whole CNN crowd) to point out what first appeared in print months ago. Wonder if MSNBC should apologize to Pat.

Now you know what's wrong with liberals, hypocrisy.:rose:

Someone needs to tell Oreo fantasy threads belong in a different forum.

That's good miles. When faced with inconvenient truths, dismiss them. Denial is your best, and likely your one and only, true friend.

By engaging in open war against gays, immigrants, and women in their quest for the votes of the extreme right your party has likely hung itself with the younger generation.

Congrats!

It's not even a race thing, really. It's a generational-culture thing. Look at the 2011 version of the Pew Political Typology: The "Staunch Conservatives" have the highest average age of any of the groups -- and, when they die off, they will not be replaced. Their children and grandchildren just don't think the same way they do.

The GOP is really going to regret purging all the dead voters from the voter registration rolls.

Who cares? I stopped being a neo-con parrot ages ago.

These demographics forces also apply to the paleocons (Pat Buchanan, etc. -- social-conservative, economic-populist, isolationist, nativist verging on racism). They'll be things of the past soon enough.

Libertarians (mostly white) and Post-Moderns (likewise) are the rising groups in the Pew Typology. They're both more modern-minded.

Libertarians
9% OF ADULT POPULATION /10% OF REGISTERED VOTERS

Basic Description: This Republican-oriented, predominantly male group mostly conforms to the classic profile of the libertarian in its combination of strong economic conservatism and relatively liberal views on social issues. Much less religious than other GOP-oriented groups, Libertarians are relatively comfortable financially– nearly half (46%) say they are professional or business class, among the highest of the typology groups.

Defining values: Highly critical of government. Disapprove of social welfare programs. Pro-business and strongly opposed to regulation. Accepting of homosexuality. Moderate views about immigrants compared with other Republican-oriented groups.

Who they are: Most (85%) are non-Hispanic white and two-thirds (67%) are male. Well educated (71% have attended college) and affluent (39% have incomes of $75,000 or more).

Lifestyle notes: Less likely than other GOP groups to attend church weekly (26%). More than half (56%) use social networking sites, and 46% have a gun in the household. 54% currently have a U.S. passport. 36% trade stocks. 38% regularly watch Fox News and 17% regularly listen to NPR.

<snip>

Post-Moderns
13% OF ADULT POPULATION /14% OF REGISTERED VOTERS

Basic Description: Well-educated and financially comfortable. Post-Moderns are supportive of many aspects of government though they take conservative positions on questions about racial policy and the social safety net. Very liberal on social issues. Post-Moderns were strong supporters of Barack Obama in 2008, but turned out at far lower rates in 2010.

Defining values: Strongly supportive of regulation and environmental protection. Favor the use of diplomacy rather than military force to ensure peace. Generally positive about immigrants and their contributions to society.

Who they are: The youngest of the typology groups (32% under age 30); a majority are non-Hispanic white (70%) and have at least some college experience (71%). Nearly a third (31%) are unaffiliated with any religious tradition. Half live in either the Northeast (25%) or the West (25%). A majority (58%) lives in the suburbs.

Lifestyle notes: 63% use social networking. One-in-five (20%) regularly listen to NPR, 14% regularly watch The Daily Show, 10% read the New York Times. 31% trade stocks and 53% have a passport.

(These "Libertarians" are not very likely to join or support the Libertarian Party in its present form; moderate libertarianism and radical libertarianism are two different things.)

Especially bittersweet since it's very likely a lot of those dead voters were their friends.

I used to work at an Oldsmobile dealership. One of my co-workers took a few minutes every morning to read the obituaries in the newspaper and run the names through our customer data base. On any day, we lost 2 or 3 customers.

I'd take the media a lot more seriously if they started being honest and adding "this message paid for by the democrat (or in the case of Fox Republican) Party". Balanced reporting . . .

. . . was never a good idea. "Fair" and "balanced" are very different things. "Balanced" means giving creationism equal time with evolution and shit like that.

I read the CNN and Buchanan pieces and they may well have some political merit.

There is an obvious flaw though. If Hispanics are so Democratic would Texas not be a Blue rather than decidedly Red state? Also, don't the Cubans in Florida vote overwhelming Republican?

These damn contradictions.

The assumption being that the white hispanics will stay on the reservation and that a minority middle-class can be prevented from emerging and wanting the same liberties that a white middle-class yearned for...

;) ;)

What happens to all the cross-breeds?

I suspect it will be a good 2 or 3 election cycles before Hispanics vote for Republicans in any large numbers. Dubya, despite his many flaws, tried his hardest to include Hispanics in his party but the rank-and-file rejected his policies and adopted a hard Xenophobic platform instead.

...and now they wonder why Hispanics won't vote for their candidates, now that they're needed....

Not so quick!

When everyone's enjoys annointed minority status no one enjoys annointed minority status. And thats where the next stop on the trolley line is headed. Diversity! Halleleujah!

Hispanics are about to discover theyre just one minority of many in the Democrat Party.

And even if the Democrats prevail forever whats in it for the Spics? All the marble shitting elites get first dibs on the really great patronage jobs, Slopes, Niggaz, faggots, Old Maids who live alone with a cat, fake Indians, ALL come ahead of Spics.

Spics may get the idea they need a party with less diversity.
