I miss the horse (or course), BlackShanglan.
Anyone have word?

I dunno... some sugar cubes and an apple go pretty far!
Let's see... Where are those sugar cubes and that apple supposed to go?![]()

I miss the horse as well!
I've missed both you and the horse...and I'll raise you a vella.![]()
I've seen her, she's insane!!!
I definitely miss Shang, but who doesn't? That horsey was a voice of reason here and those are growing fewer.
Couldn't agree more, Sev. Horsey was fair, genuine, and sensible, with a sexy edge.
As a friend was kind enough to tell me of this thread, I thought that I would stop in and thank you all for your kind regard and generous words. Although it has been a long while since I visited Lit, I have often thought of my friends here, and I have missed them. It touches me to know that from time to time, you think of me as well.
I am hale and hearty as a horse may be who is not longer a young thing, but still has the energy for a spirited prance now and again. I've been writing, reading, and tending a pleasant little half-acre on which the SO and I have contentedly settled ourselves. My life has been peaceful and pleasant.
Severusmax, your words brought a wry smile to my lips. You are very kind, but in truth much of the reason I left was that I felt I was changing. I'd become contentious and irritable, and spent too much of my time in wrangling where I knew no good could come. I'm not sure why I developed that habit, but I thought I had better go write something that had some remote chance of bringing joy to the world instead. Fiction, I think, leads me less astray than does debate.
I do miss you all. Harry, it's so good to see that you're still about, and Abs, do give my love to Vella-la and all of the lovely ladies. I miss your wild humor and your barbed wit. And Throbbs, you always have been such a gentle and generous person. It was very kind of you to ask after me. My best wishes to all of you, whether I see you frequently or rarely - for I think of you warmly and often.
