Romney ahead of Obama

It's so great....the democratic attack machine is in full mode....

Wow. Big fucking fail, dude. Read your link.

What part? It clearly shows that Romney is catching up to Obama. Just three weeks ago Obama held a commanding lead and now he's down seven points. Hell 43% of Americans are simply going to vote for Romney because he's not Obama. It's gonna be a fucking blood bath. Miles was right about everything. By this time next year Romney will be president.

It's almost as if the dumber posters on lit don't know that the president isn't elected by popular vote.

Of course he is. President Gore is evidence of that.

You know, I was just thinking a few minutes ago, that Vette knows nothing about economics or the Constitution, yet that's what 90% of his posts are about.

Then I saw this thread.

It's sad. So sad. I've lost faith in my fellow human beings.

I don't think you're giving enough credit to other posters. For every Vette post about those there is an equally dumb one by KO or Miles or a bunch of people I have on ignore.
And then we have this thread which is so completely off base as to be cringe-worthy.

*slowly raises hand* please explain?
I thought that's how it worked there.

nope. we borrowed the electoral college from that bastion of democracy the holy roman empire because... ummm... some reason or the other. i don't know, but it's like way necessary and shit.

In practice it (generally) does. However due to the Electoral College the president doesn't actually need a majority of the population.

At least in theory it's to stop California and New York from imposing our tyrranical rule over states that nobody lives in like Montana and North Dakota.

Yea, because California was so influential when the nation was founded:rolleyes:

Alright. Thanks for making this a teachable moment.

At the time I think Pennsylvania and New York were the primary culprits actually. It's been a while since I brushed up on the populations of the thirteen colonies at the founding of the country.
