Looks like the American are going to improve the economy:
Is that a landline phone survey? So ... Americans over 50 were polled, and they all agree the price of food is higher then when they were young?

No. They are saying it's higher than it was a year ago. It seems that it should be simple enough either prove or disprove this as a trend over say the past five or six years.
Ok, I admit I was being cheeky. However that doesn't change the fact that when you poll landline phones you are polling a specific target group of people. That would be like me taking a poll for gay rights at a gaga concert. Please no nitwittery today, thanks.![]()
I supposed I'm a little confused as to why you would poll for that. It's a fact, they either are or aren't. Except for milk, I personally haven't noticed a marked increase in the price of my groceries overall.
For those idiots here who insist that inflation is under control:
88% Say They're Paying More for Groceries Than A Year Ago
Wednesday, May 16, 2012
Americans still say overwhelmingly that they are paying more for groceries than they were year ago which helps explain why a majority continues to lack confidence in the Federal Reserve Board’s ability to keep inflation down.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that 88% of American Adults report paying more for groceries compared to a year ago, a finding that has ranged from 75% to 93% since April 2009.

This guy is a threat to the economic health of the nation. Kudos to the Pubs for holding Democrat feet to the fire:
Obama budget defeated 99-0 in Senate
By Stephen Dinan
President Obama's budget suffered a second embarrassing defeat Wednesday, when senators voted 99-0 to reject it.
Coupled with the House's rejection in March, 414-0, that means Mr. Obama's budget has failed to win a single vote in support this year.
Republicans forced the vote by offering the president's plan on the Senate floor.

Dam I was thinking cost of fuel and commodities going up had something to do with it
You think Obama controls fuel and commodity prices now?
That's because you're a dummy and don't know how to shop. They even have your size (big & tall) for under $50.00
But you'll blame Obama for your stupidity.
I know it's not a fail when it brings out your frenzied defensiveness. I know you'll admit the truth to yourself, that's all the satisfaction I require.
