In 1983, we sailed past Easter Island, and due to a breakage in the rigging had to make an unscheduled stop.
Normally, it takes a while to get a visa and permission to go there, but we were granted a 7 day stay due to needing repairs.
I was 15 yrs old, and did not fully appreciate where we were (hated having to go with my folks to see the 'rocks')
I'd love to go back and see it all again, with more mature eyes.

I knew SOME had bodies. I did however assume the ones that were apparently buried up to their necks were just heads. I mean fuck that's a lot of work to go through to bury something.
