It's no different than having Afghanistan or some other thrid-world hellhole attached to the United States.

Much like Afghanistan, Mexico is a festering cesspool of extreme poverty, crime, and corruption. It always has been and always will be.

I fully support Arizona governor Jan Brewer and Sheriff Joe Arpaio's tough anti-immigration policies.

The Obama administration see's to it that the US/Mexican border remains wide open for potential democrats to pour in.

Mexico has a lot of poverty and crime but it's nothing like you say. And a lot of the crime is localized. It's not like the country is lawless. I've been there four times including a semester there in Guadalajara and our honeymoon.

I never felt unsafe or even saw crime.

Yeah those ten-foot fences topped with concertina on the way to Chichen Itza looked like the pinnacle of civilization...

;) ;)

The last time we were in Manzanilla, half the shops were closed and Spanish had become the predominate tourist language...

:(

You think he was actually there after his detailed account of attending lectures in Australia?

I guess there's one born every minute. ;) ;)

The CIA works hand and hand with Mexican drug cartels in order to help fund the black budget as well as the illegal activities of the US federal government and military.

US occupation of Afghanistan alone is raking in at least $500 billion per year (in the opium trade) for the govt/intelligence community/international banking system.

The CIA and US govt' have been manufacturing, refining, trafficking, and dealing narcotics since the late 1950's.

Shady criminal elements of large financial institutions also have their hands deeply inside the Mexican drug war and the global narcotics trade.

The more corrupt and criminal the government and the banking/financial system becomes, the worse the drug war will become.

In fact, I'm sure that the banker elite probably think this is actually funny.

The below link provides information which might help you understand what is actually going on.

I go to Puerto Vallarta every year. I even feel comfortable enough to go alone. I've been there 10 times. I wouldn't drive to Puerto Peñasco and camp on the beach as we did when I was a child. I'm aware of where the crimes are and don't believe all of Mexico is bad.

pretty sure that most "tourist" spots are safe. if the cartels started to knock off tourist in a tourist spot, well that would really bring down some heat.

however, most American's become dumbass while on "vacation" and its only a matter of time before a tourist is in a place where he or she shouldn't be and they end up whacked

I haven't been to Mexico in at least 15 years. Used to go every Friday and Saturday night (and sometimes on weeknights even) when I was in college in San Diego for the lower drinking age. It was never safe, but nothing like now. Used to be the biggest danger was corrupt cops, now you can loose your head.

I wouldn't go to any third world country anymore. People want to leave the third world. Why go there?

STFU mike, I was in Mexico last year and it's nothing like Afghanistan....not even close....the mujahideen would face fuck the Mexican cartels into oblivion.

Mexico isn't safe and never has been. Countless thousands of people are kidnapped and murdered each year.

The whole country is run entirely by violent gangs and corrupt politicians. The US government has issued strongly-worded travel advisories to people headed to Mexico either for vacation or for business.

Mexican police frequently pull people over for no reason other than to solicit bribes from them.

I don't go to places where I'm most likely to get whacked, but that goes for any city.

Because I have a villa I like to stay at there and it feels like my second home. And somewhere to get away fom the shitty weather.

and thank GOD Holder is selling the Mexican drug lords guns

My brother got to go to Mexico and got stuck there. It was both funny and horrifying. Apparently, you have to give them a bunch of shit, passport, driver's license, I don't know, a bunch of shit, but his driver's license is sideways, because he's under 21. So they said it was fake and my mom had to get his birth certificate and a bunch of other shit. It was awesome. I wish I had gotten to go- he loved it.
