Well what's the best? Do you add a pinch of baking soda to it?
Baking soda?
I live in the south, where sweet tea is a staple, and have never heard of adding baking soda, but I may give it a try today just to see if it works!
It's nasty enough already ...
Yankee!
What about the sulfur in your water.
I no longer use the soda, I use 10 tea bags and 2 cups of sugar for each gallon. 2 gallon minimum in my fridge.
Just had me some McDonalds sweet tea yesterday. Damn it was good!
Real sweet tea should be made with simple syrup....not had sugar just added to the tea.
The simple sugar (equal parts water and sugar, heated slowly to dissolve the sugar into the water) is added to the steeped tea and can be flavored with lemon... if you like.
Just sayin
