3D televisions

Mine is supposed to do 3D. Every other new model does. I got two pair of silly glasses in the box.

Never used it though.

What say you?

Anyone got one?

I watch maybe one hour of television per week. I would be fine watching it with a 20-year-old analog CRT television with bunny ear antennas rather than some $8,000 big screen 3D idiot box.

They give you cancer too.

Shut the fuck up and smoke a joint or something.

I was looking at LG's and liked them.

So I assume you didn't need to buy a 3D blu ray player to (if you wanted to) view in 3D, because the glasses came bundled with the TV?
The glasses came w the tv. LG uses passive glasses and altering polarization on the lines. Means you don't get full HD when you watch in 3D. Should look ok though unless you sit too close to the screen.

Like i said, haven't tried it. Didn't buy it for the 3D. That stuff gives me a headache even when it's weell done in the movies.

But yeah, you need blu-ray, or something, that can give you 3D content. There's also something they call 2D to 3D conversion, Means it can make (sort of) 3D out of regular 2D pictures. But it works so-so. Probably better result with some movies than others.

My spider sense is tingling...

I don't have a 3Dtv, I just want a joint.

My uncle and my brother do though, but not the ones with the glasses, just the normal 3D TV. I think that my uncle's is a Sony, and we watched Avatar on it and it was pretty awesome.

The ones with glasses is the normal 3D TV. That fricking sort was that?

I have a Samsung 3D TV, it definitly gives movies an extra depth that you don't get from 2D movies but I find that by the end of one movie I do have a slight headache so I don't really watch it alot. You do need a 3D blueray player if you want to watch DVDs.

I don't like 3D so I have no plans to get a tv with it. I've seen them though and for someone who likes it they would probably be really great. They seem fun but the whole thing always gives me a headache. The few times I've seen 3D movies I've been sorry I did it. Something about the whole process fucks with my eyes and head.

Light up and check out Vizio.

LG will fuk you sideways.

I just got done watching my first 3D movie on my TV. It felt strange sitting there with glasses on, but I must admit it was pretty fucking cool.

I'm not a fan of 3D in theatres myself, I too got headaches from that shit. Whenever the scenes would get fast, or too much going on it got blurry. Watching it here didn't bother me and the picture was always clear. I even forgot about the goofy glasses after a bit.

For my TV I went with the Sony Bravia, the movie was Resident Evil Afterlife.

I may watch a movie a month in 3D...

52" LG cinema 3D
uses the same glasses as in the theatres
love it for 3D movies

er.. anyone who buys a 3d tv is, by definition, an idiot.

Why? Its a nice tv.

Not everthing is in 3d and the picture is great.

I didn't pay any more for the 3d option and I don't really like movie trheatres.

Its a so called 'smart' tv. All tvs will be like this in 2 yrs.
