Not much happening...

The honeysuckle has given the forest a scent that is simply intoxicating.

What'cha got for us? I have coffee.

I have tea.... it's Monday night and I have a big frangipani in a pot on the patio. Does that count?

I had to look up frangipani.

I don't think we have any of those...

You're experiencing fall now, correct?

Yes, down to about 12C overnight and about 24C in the day. This is the best of times in Queensland - almost no humidity :)

The humidity here is clinging and oppressive like a second skin that forces you to wear sweat like a wet winter sweater...

But, man does it ever hang on to the scent of honeysuckle.

I just read that Hillary is drunk texting Obama.

Other than that I got nothing.

Palm trees are bending from rain and wind this morning ....they look like they're bowing down blowing kisses to the drivers and joggers :)

The sun is shining over the sea opposite my house.

I can only see the nearest of four off-shore windfarms, so the visibility is at least 7 miles. Several of the cormorants have just flown inland so sea fishing is not good today, or the tide is wrong for them.

Seven eBay purchases, some of which have been long in coming, arrived this morning.

And it's my birthday. I'm long retired so I can do what I like - until I collect grandchildren from school and childminder.

I hate Mondays... I have to go to stupid NA on Mondays... until I get a job... Fuck a bunch of Mondays...

I liked the pine forests in North Carolina when I was stationed there; here there be oak.

CLR 7 as we would enter our hourly observation.

Happy Birthday, or are we at the time of life when it is more of a curse?

Don't shoot the whole day down.

I just read this, it is fucking funny.

Also the first time I think I've ever seen language such as this on Reason.com:

The attachment commies try to indoctrinate you from the moment the ovum and spermatozoon slather. At first they make sleeping in bed with a warm, gooey infant sound like a symphony of shared familial bliss, nurtured and safe in the "family bed." In reality, it’s a bed that has ceased to offer a soft landing for some hard boning, and knows nothing of the word sleep for its elder inhabitants. Attachment parents are cranky, dogmatic and have forgotten the acts which brought their babies into being. They are unnaturally unfucked, and they will do whatever they can to goad you into their resentful zombie army.

Happy Birthday !!!!

Thank you. I'm going to leave the computer alone for an hour or so and check the car over for our holiday. We're leaving this weekend.

While we are away, we will have an evening out to celebrate my birthday, and another one to celebrate 40 years of marriage.

When do we get time off for good behavior?
