“What’s up, gangstas? It’s the M-I-Double Tizzle”
To understand Obama you must understand Al Capone and Chicago politics.
Obama believes and Capone believed that democracy is limited to your gang or cohort or tribe. Everyone else exists to be harvested and used.
Current polling continues to show strong opposition:
So? Should politicians always do the popular thing? Conservatives certainly don't think that.
They should do as their constituents wish them to.
Comrade Merc doesn't understand the whole representative democracy concept.
"...In my second term, I guess I'll pass it again."
Funny.
"There is a term for President Obama, but there's not two terms"
What? No more polygamy jokes?
Did you get tired of "Who ate Bo?"
For many people, the ACA doesn't go far enough, and many feel that we should have a single-payer system.Yeah, that's really something to be proud of
Jamming through an unpopular plan that the majority of the country is opposed to, forced through along single party approval using threats, bribes and lies, which would eventually bankrupt the country, desecrate one of the best health care systems in the world, already greatly increased the cost of health insurance, when those provided for at the expense of the majority were already protected under SCHIP and hospital care mandates for treatment.
This bill was passed against the majority opinion of most Americans, and has not only outraged ordinary Americans (who mostly favor an incremental, well thought out approach to reform) but will decimate the practice of many physicians providing healthcare services.
Reliable polling sources found that the majority of ALL registered voters do not approve of Obamacare and feel the nation is worse off for it, stating such opposition to as decreased quality of medical treatment, increased costs for treatment, medicine and insurance, cuts in Medicare to the tune of $400 Billion, and a greater decision making presence of government in the examination room.
By a margin of 54 to 34 percent, Independents (those who tip the scale) are strongly opposed to the "Affordable Care Act." According to a recent Kaiser Foundation poll, most Americans “have an unfavorable view of the healthcare reform law.”

Don't let facts get in the way of your blind bravado strut though....
You're both terribly confused. America is a Republic. We elect people to govern the nation and represent us, not simply channel opinion polls.
(They teach this in 4th grade social studies class)
So how do you represent your constituents if you don't pay attention to what their wishes are?
"...In my second term, I guess I'll pass it again."
Funny.
