I find this distinction rather annoying.

I don't think its the age so much as the confidence that comes with age that is erotic.
"older" ladies are often much more sexually adventurous and have shed the insecurities that often plague people when they are younger. They are more comfortable in their own skin, and this translates to heightened sexuality.
Of course, you can find people of any age who share these qualities for better and for worse. So I supposed a better poll would be "Are confident women hotter?" Might be a bit one sided though

I agree with EpicureanCynic that it's the sexual self confidence that we 40+ women have that is very attractive to young guys. There are no mixed signals, no guessing games, no time wasted, in other words we are sexually mature and already know what we like, don't like, and what we want without fear of voicing it or guiding them. Not only that, but we are also into giving our partners, what we have learned through experience, will turn them on such as many various techniques and positions, as well as letting them experiment with our bodies.

I do have a specific kink for women a good bit older than myself. I don't dislike younger girls, there is just something erotic about a sexually liberated 40-something that is a huge turn-on.

I can't pick an age from your poll. It's too narrow. 40+ 40 isn't even old, but you are lumping them in with 100 year olds. The sexiness doesn't come from age but how mature and comfortable and confident they are.
