Hookers at the prom

Ah good ole Coeur d'Alene. Home of some of the finest white trash, racists and worst police department ever.

While I'm puzzled by how both genders dress now a days, they are going to do it regardless. The only thing that could change that is the school district making rules, but then that always turns out to be a huge fiasco.

*shrug*

And yet, it's gorgeous. You don't like any place that isn't a concrete jungle. They also had awesome BBQ. Grill from Ipanema. The downtown area is being revitalized. So far it looks fantastic.

I was in Coeur d'Alene during on of the high schools' proms over the weekend and most dresses were quite tasteful. There was one that was more appropriate for other things, however. So, let the kiddos wear what they want, or tell the kiddos not to dress like a hooker?

Young girls and young women haven't learned the art of appearance. They tend to dress horribly and cake on too much make up, all in the mistaken thought that they are being sexy, sophisticated and adult.

It doesn't mean they are hoars, it just means they are young and haven't learned how make up and clothes are done.

Usually by 24 or 25 most women have figured out that you want to look good, without anyone realizing you are wearing make up, and your clothes are reserved, but sexy without being trashy.

So worry not. It's part of the maturing process. Like those young monkeys that have the really red asses.

If I tried to wear what my daughters wore to prom, they'd have kicked me out.

This year, the youngest is wearing a full length gown, that just happens to be missing parts of the back and midsection.

let them dress how they want. just make sure they keep an appropriate distance while dancing.

Oh I'm not saying the area isn't gorgeous, just talking about the population and culture at large.

Thankfully the law suit years ago that the Southern Poverty Law Center made it so the Aryan Nations lost their compound there, but then it just made it someone else's problem.

Probably Montana's problem now.

Probably Montana's problem now.

Yep, the split and went to Sandpoint, parts of western Montana and Pennsylvania.

I still find it hard to believe that I grew up around the racism and violence that came about because of it.

One skinhead I worked at a kitchen with is on death row. Two guys I knew from working at a local club were visited by Tim McVeigh before the OKC bombing, and sold him supplies. They later went on to rob and kill a gun seller, the wife and child of the gun seller as well.

I also had two friends die at the hands of them. One of my friends was tied to a tree in the middle of nowhere Idaho and lynched to death. Another was just shot point blank.

You want to see tweens and teens dress inappropriately on a daily basis? Just watch an episode of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding sometime.

I let my wife go to prom last year with one of my partners sons. Not a ugly kid I guess, but he must be shy or something. She was 26 but still looks 17. She was taking pictures of all the girls they so she could show them to her friends and be catty...some of the pictures shocked me! But she was still the hottest girl there. Poor kid, had other guys coming up to hit on her in front of him. She shot them down proper and bumped up the poor kids cool points 10 fold.

your wife is a hooker?

Dressing up should be synonymous with looking elegant, not looking cheap. That would be dressing down.

I don't recall every wearing anything questionable, but I'm sure if I did, my mom would not have let me leave the house. Then again, I'm kind of a prude, so she probably never had to worry about it.

Umm, well no. Not all young women. I wouldn't even say most where I live.
I guess being in Sydney young people dress like young people. Brand names and whatever they feel most comfortable in.

So you support a private money grubbing pressure group that openly opposes the idea that even the most socially unpopular beliefs are Constitutionally protected over some strange folks who are minding their own business and not doing anything illegal?

Its the "Aryan Nations" today, its the Republican Party tomorrow, and the Democratic Party after that. Freedom is about the right to peacefully believe whatever you want so long as you aren't harming anyone else. The SPLC doesn't believe in that, if they don't like you they think you shouldn't have any rights. Where does it stop? This group is openly opposed to basic freedom and rights for those it demonizes to keep the donations rolling in. Its far more dispicable than most of the groups it attacks.

Proms are as archaic as they are stupid. Schools shouldn't be in the business of encouraging students to pair off as couples, their job is education. This archaic frivolity has no business in schools. Its time to end these things as a vestige of the past that no longer serve any useful purpose.

the reason the ACLU shutdown the compound is..... because security guards at their compound opened fire on a car driving by and then took the occupants of the vehicle hostage

then again.. in your mind.. people attempting to kill innocent bystanders are the real victims

I don't recall any hookers at my prom. That's usually a night when everyone gets laid so there's not much use for them.
