Well, if you spent more time reading and doing research, and less time on poor attempts to be witty, you might notice that I never said any laws had been broken. And the person who made the "crucify" comment said

Find people who are not compliant with the law, and you hit them as hard as you can and you make examples out of them, and there is a deterrent effect there

To be compliant with the law means you're abiding by the law, if you're not compliant, well, that sort of implies you're breaking the law.

But it's ok, I know you'd rather hide in bed and keep telling yourself that the EPA can do no right and energy companies can do no wrong. It's a lot easier than waking up and looking around.

It wasn't a religious thing. It was just a method of (painful) public execution of people considered to be criminals and troublemakers, adopted by the Romans from others.
Alexander the Great crucified (one of the early examples) one of his generals, so I guess you could say it was the pagans who supported the idea.
