WASHINGTON (AP) — For computer users, a few mouse clicks could mean the difference between staying online and losing Internet connections this summer.

Unknown to most of them, their problem began when international hackers ran an online advertising scam to take control of infected computers around the world.

...it's up to every individual surfer to maintain proper maintenance of his board...I mean, computer.

The OP concerns just one malicious effort at controlling your computer...

...there are thousands - if not hundreds of thousands - of others going on every day.

If anyone's computer is infected already and they don't exert the effort to correct the problem...
