Did he then stop and suck the blood out of the wound? Cuz that's the only way I see him putting himself at risk. You should get out of the 1980 view of HIV.

LOL the cop tore out an earring. That's a lot of blood that could have come from his victim. If the cop gets stuck or scratched and HIV infected blood seeps into there, well, you know how that goes.
