Yeah. Essentially, he copied it from Gottlieb Daimler's car of 1885.
Then Daimler's men went on to establish a firm called Mercedes.
Ford never invented anything. He copied Assembly line production from GM's forbears and was still copying 50 years later when he tried to steal Harry Fergusons Hydraulics patents.
