The title says it all basically. I trying to figure how can I know if someone stills your hard work, and post it somewhere else, or try to make money off something they did not do?

Can anyone please help me?

What?!?! that's confusing, and not very helpful.

Spell check is a very useful thing when posting. I doubt people stills others work, but it's pretty damn easy to steal it if you post it on a site like this.

I've never tried it, but supposedly if you paste a paragraph or so of your story into google it will show up wherever it is on the net.

Once this happens there is not much you can do about it. If you ever intend to make any money off your work or are afraid of others taking credit for it, then never post it here. Lit's the biggest free story site around therefore it's a shopping cart for thieves

Yep, if someone stills your work, get it into a bottle and sell it down at the general store.

Thank you for the advice. And thanks for pointing out stills and steal, I realize I made that mistake until you pointed out it to me.

I was going to say, that if someone wanted to still your work, it would 1 bombed all day! :D Lots of advice threads here on how to check if your story has been hijacked.;)

Meanwhile, back at the ranch....Vicki, to put it roughly, choose almost any sentence, put it in quotes and do a search on it. You might have some good stories, but you NEED an editor! Your grammar and usage need some work. As the stories stand, there are some distinctive errors that would make plagiarism a cinch to detect.

My goodness, the distance a pun gets. :D

Marakesh Express is another good tune of theirs.;)

Have you even read my stories? or are you critiquing my grammar and usage, from just reading my posts on the forum?

Thanks for the advice by the way.
