Justice for Trayvon??

...like the Associated Press, the feed picked up by the Seattle Times, among others.

Did I say that? No, I said this incident wasn't widely reported. We all know the reason why these kinds of crimes are not widely reported don't we. Because racism in the liberal mind only comes from one direction.

Widely reported by the Associated Press and The Seattle Times...

Here Is Bruce Lee Beating Up Racist Writer John Derbyshire, Who Has Cancer

This weekend racist pundit John Derbyshire lost his column at the National Review for being more direct with his racism than that magazine allows. We reached out to Derbyshire and Taki's Magazine executive editor Mandolyna Theodoracopulos, who is ostensibly responsible for publishing Derb's racist article, for comment. Mandolyna, the daughter of Taki's Magazine namesake and "soi disant anti-semite" Taki Theodoracopulos, responded thusly:

In my opinion the tragedy is not so much about racism as it is about the shameful incident itself. When a young man kills a boy, it is nothing more than madness and madness diminishes us all.

Plainly, Derbyshire's is a frank point of view that is certainly not shared by everyone. As such, one man's contribution to the debate should not eclipse the loss of an American boy and draw us away from managing our shock and grief over the shooting. The outpouring of support and solidarity behind Martin and his family is certainly more worthy of the public's attention.

We emailed back and forth, with Mandolyna ignoring my every specific question about race and editorial decisions at Taki's. "We ran the piece because that is what we are in the business of doing," she wrote. She did, however, offer a relevant piece of information when I asked for help reaching Derbyshire:

He is undergoing chemo therapy today, as he has every Monday for the past several weeks.

No word what kind of cancer it is. Update: Derbyshire has Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia.

In other Derbyshire-related news, I'd just like to point everyone to his personal website where Derbyshire reveals scientific results providing that he has "a strong automatic preference for European American compared to African American" and very little prejudice against Asian Americans.

The latter result may be related to the fact that John used to live in China. He had a bit role in a 1972 Bruce Lee movie, in which he plays a "Thug" and gets the shit kicked out of him. (He's in the striped shirt.) In 1986 he went through the laborious process of extracting wife Rosie Qi from a "work unit" in northeastern China to marry her. He brought her to New York where "we went to a wedding parlor in New York's Chinatown and spent a happy hour or so dressing up and getting photographed," the results of which he published on his website. The couple has been happily married ever since, and have two mixed race children.

Update: Taki Theodoracopulos responds to the controversy: "I don't think he did anything that extraordinary, to point out what Blacks themselves point out." Also, "it's nice to be light sometimes."

I never believed it before but this places teaches you the truism that a racist is a conservative who's winning an argument with a liberal.

how could you have not believed it before?

isnt it OBVIOUS?

really?

Oh, and while I might do just that when I get time, could you please do me the honor of not using my terminologies as if you knew what they were before I mentioned them? Thanks.:D

BTW, what was I supposed to take away from your insinuation that I might agree through "speculative intention" with a vengeful racist attack?

Vetty, I was born before the internet and iPads and have been book-literate since pacifier days. Trust me when I say that even though you got years on me like Methuselah next to Encyclopedia Brown, you have yet to type a word in your posts that I have to look up on Dictionary.com. :D

Was I insinuating anything? It looked like you were trying to intentionally counterbalance my post of an incident of undeniable and direct racial hatred with another post of something criminally related but of unequal weight that appeared to excuse it, but...but...but...

Only in the poisoned well of your imagination counselor. My posts are directed at media balance not to elicit sympathy for downtrodden, or wealthy white guys.

This little turning up the corner of the race card is all your doing.

of course.

that's why the lesson we learn from five dead blacks in tulsa is that the media is not balanced.

now that i reflect upon, it's a good thing those folks got shot so that we could be educated about that turrible imbalance.

I'm wondering exactly why there is so much attention being paid to the Tulsa case? Especially in this thread. The only points of similarity between the two cases happen to be a similarity in the race of the perps and the victims.

I see no one, anywhere, attempting to defend the actions of the Tulsa pair. They are cold blooded killers that appear to have been racially motivated in their spree. They are in custody and it's quite likely that one or both are going to be seeing the doctor, the electrician, or the firing squad when it's all said and done.

The only reason I can see for this case to be bandied about in this thread is to somehow prove that racism is still a component of some crimes, a fact that no one I know of has tried to deny, and that because these clowns were racially motivated in their crime spree this is somehow inherited, ex post facto, by Zimmerman. I'd say that making that leap is the act of a very small, and arguably demented, mind.

Some here are accusing me of defending Zimmerman. The reality is that I'm not defending Zimmerman, don't know him and don't particularly care to, I'm defending the facts as are know at this time from the mindless purveyors of wild ass scenarios as concocted by wannabe forensic 'experts' and crime scene analysts that have been no where near the scene of the crime nor have interviewed the witnesses. Individuals which of late have reduced their bitches to the fact that Zimmerman wasn't arrested and an attack on the 'no retreat' law which, if the facts that are known today hold up, isn't even part of the consideration as to whether Zimmerman was, or will be, arrested.

You've joined in the lynch mob for what ever the reason, it makes you feel important, or feel good, or gives you an opportunity to focus your expressions of outrage and righteous indignation that you just generally feel as part of your miserable existence.

I don't think there are any posts by me where I've explicitly said that I'm a Manchester United fan, yet it's blatantly obvious from the content of my posts and interactions with others that I am.

Why did you make this thread, Ish?

What were you hoping to accomplish?

Is there something special that you hoped would happen here with the so-called "discussion" that isn't happening elsewhere across the internet universe?

Where do you think it's going to go from here?

Do you think this thread is going to be anything but a deflection dump-sink for people with nothing else to do with their lives but be cut & paste internet meme vectors on the latest aggregated news?

Answer directly or don't answer or answer with a non-answer....but it's hilariously ironic how your last paragraph is basically you holding up a mirror to yourself.
