CBS newsman Mike Wallace, the dogged, merciless reporter and interviewer who took on politicians, celebrities and other public figures in a 60-year career highlighted by the on-air confrontations that helped make "60 Minutes" the most successful primetime television news program ever, has died. He was 93.

He did a segment the other day about contemporary art that was spot on. It's amazing what rich people will spend their money on.

93 huh? Seems he had a long, healthy life. Who could ask for more?
 
Mike Wallace was one of the last REAL newsmen. Not the nickel and dime wannabes we see today.:(

I believe that was Morley Safer that did the art piece last week. But he's almost dead too, so you're probably close enough.
 
60 Minutes, the TV show that makes the New York Times seem fair and balanced. :rolleyes:
 
I kinda figured Morley would go before Mike.

My sympathies to both of his families.
