“The problem… boils down to one thing — government is way too big."

This past Tuesday night, 6,200+ showed up at California State University to hear Paul speak...

Last night, thousands filled UCLA's Straus Stadium and hundreds more outside listened to Paul speak; check-out a :27 vid scanning the crowd before Paul spoke here:

Then check-out Paul's reception upon introduction at UCLA here:

Did Paul talk to those students about how he wants to abolish the federal student loan program?

I do not know...

...did your mother talk to you about sticking your tongue into electrical sockets?

Students like Paul because their young and dumb. They'll grow out of it as soon as they hit the real world.

Ron Paul is running on the promise of stealing away enough unpledged delegates to force a brokered or contested convention. That promise is used to excite supporters who in turn provide the campaign donations that keep him running further. Paul's count of and reliance on those delegates is widely considered to be "hopeful" at best, and that's being generous.

The 'candidate of principle' has 51 delegates to Romney's 660. He's in last place, with just more than a third of Gingrich's paltry 135 delegates, and miles behind Santorum's 281. Recall that the numbers are highly disadvantageous for even for Santorum to have a shot at the nomination, and that's taking into consideration Santorum's own delegate-skimming hopes AND any hope he has of getting Romney's share.

Paul's support is strong but it also levelled off months ago, and is arguably weakening.

Since he knows he can't win, and his delegate-plan is a non-starter, all that money he collects will not get him the nomination. Yet he's still collecting it.

He knows he can't win. They don't.

He's robbing them. Since he's not even controlling or contributing to the narrative of the primary, he can't even claim the gadfly mantle. He's simply a snake-oil salesman at best at this point.

The real test will be whether, when he quits, he says he's quitting or "suspending." The difference is the latter lets him keep the bread.

I wonder, when he suspends, if his supporters will know they've been had.

Quite the man of principle.

I stuck a paper clip in an electical outlet once in elementary school. I'm not really sure why in retrospect. I got burned a little, sent to the nurse, and then the principle's office. Kids can be really stupid.

What a weak attempt to smear an honorable man like Dr. Paul.

He's running to give every supporter a chance to vote for him to make a statement to the GOP leadership and the country. It sucks when you live in a late primary state and your candidate isn't even on the ballot anymore. I for one, will be voting for the good Dr. even if his chances are zero. Its about making a statement.

OH NOES!! not that!! then what will universities use to inflate their tuition with? Who will subsidize the multi million dollar generating football teams that have jack and shit to do with education?

You mean the real world where they have to chose between a lefty telling them how much money they are allowed to have or a righty dictating morality to them through legislation?? right.....god forbid they look for a better alternative
