OK folks, just what, in your opinion, constitutes "justice" for Trajan?

As more facts come to light century after century the picture of Trajan that is forming is considerably different than presented in those 1,800 year old busts of a dorky-looking guy with a bad hair cut.

And the picture that is starting to emerge concerning his conquests of Romania and Armenia are not quite the sword-happy bloodbaths we were led to believe in the initial stories.

So, what is justice for Trajan?

I know he was one of the Five Good Emperors, and I believe he subdued the province of Dacia and brought Roman civilization to the heathen tribes of the Black Sea. That's all I remember.

I don't remember that at all...

Is it possible Byron meant Trayvon..?..

Trajan got what he deserved.

It's Commodus who ended up with the bad rap...

I blame his agent.

Considering he was both a conquerer and a builder, and annexed an area that would bear the name of the empire long after it was gone...

so I figure Justice for Trajan would be a movie, or a TV miniseries on HBO, BBC, or one of the networks.

...an area which gave us Dracula as well...

Do you mean that a movie or TV series about Trajan would serve justice? or that the movie or TV series ought to be titled "Justice for Trajan"?

(I'm on board either way...)

And Dacia -- now Romania -- is today the only country east of Italy that speaks a Romance (Latin-derived) language.

She was only a printer's daughter, but I guess she just wasn't my type! [rimshot]

It would serve justice.

Even Caligua had his own movie.

Not to be a dick or anything, but those aren't all the same font.

:D

Every title on that compilation that looks like it's using Trajan is using Trajan, even when it's chopped and screwed with. It's a very versatile and clean font to use and tweak, especially when wanting to convey a "classic" or "regal" feeling without being staid or clunky.

You might be confusing it with Palatino, its close cousin. The diff is that Trajan is slightly more streamlined and the serifs are sharply tapered instead of blunted.
