What is with that guy? Oil companies are already taxed more than any other industry. Why the attack? For wind power?

This economy is ready to turn the corner, the signs are pointing upward, and would move faster if Obama would just GET OUT OF THE WAY!

Come on!

Wait... subsidies are now somehow "taxes"?

How does that work????

I'd think you "less government" clowns would be totally against subsidies.

Obama can't run in his record - his administration has been a disastrous failure. All that's left is class warfare, scapegoating and lying. He excels at all three.

Once Santorum and Gingrich are out of the race you can expect Romney to be the target of a full-blown character assassination.

Countdown starts...now.

Good job Obama. Good job. Not that you'll get any of this past Congress.

Wait... subsidies are now somehow "taxes"?

How does that work????

they get subsidies yes, but so does the wind power industry. But they're also taxed at 41%. Its just bad business to bash the oil industry, election demagogy and you idiots eat it up....

HAHAHAHA! Oil companies control the United States, Europe, Asia, Africa, and virtually the entire world.

If Obama is "attacking" the oil industry, it's probably some kind of PSYOP.

its all an act
he is just a patsy
(and its all lip service to play to the gallery---if it sounds to good to be true...)

pity the oil companies can't be brought to heel.
the world would be a lot nicer, less polluted and have a brighter future.
Hemp production would be widely re-allowed for industrial purposes - its versatile, bio-degradable and replenishable.

wind funs are just a good way to ruin a lovely view.
the energy it takes to manufacture, install and maintain a wind farm far outweighs any potential energy being produced -if anyone has research to the contrary please let me know.

and imagine a large sea swell destroying the sea-wind farms...
(think tsumani/ grand canyon - water is powerful stuff!!!)

(i'm green and veggie - but sick and tired of being treated like shit - maxed out and taxed to death and for what??? to line someones silk pocket who has no regard for this planet or the species who co-exist peacefully)

Nobody is bashing them btw. Just trying to take away some of their subsidies.

Couldn't he take the money out of the food-stamps budget or child-vaccination or education or something?! :( No sense of priorities, this man!

He should really take it out of section 8 housing. It's been proven that if you put a roof over a minorities head they will become slaves who lack any motivation to do better. If their hungry and homeless they'll be at Harvard within a fort night.

The United States government does not subsidize the oil industry. When Obama talks about a subsidy, he is in fact talking about a tax break. What that means is, the president views taking less money from an industry as a subsidy.

Exxon made $4.7 million dollars per HOUR last year. They're clearly a company that can stand on it's own. But they still get tax subsidies meant to prop up their industry.

Republicans tell us government should not pick winners and losers. But out of the other side of their mouths they tell us that it's government's role to pick winners. It's hypocrisy at its finest.

yup. nuff said.

How dare them make millions of dollars a hour.
Obama should just take it all!!!!

I love the simpleton talk...

"they're taxed at 41%."

No they're not. Subsidies reduce what they're paying... so do other tax loopholes.

Or does that only apply when you're talking about poor people getting subsidies?

What Exxon makes in an hour isn't a drop in the ocean compared with how much money the government pisses away. This is another scheme to try and distract us from what a complete failure Obama has been, and it isn't going to work.

Corporations own the government already, and people like you want to give them MORE power...

You're clueless.

Oblamer has to talk about oil, he can't talk about his failed UHC.

Exxon makes millions why Obama should take it.
Obama can help people in need.
