So you would have to form a new thread entirely.I'm not too keen on the "plan as we go" idea - sure spontaneity can be cool but I much prefer to have a date/time/place. Just saying meet at a car garage w/o further ideas on actually where to go doesn't work for me
Why? Besides...if I'm there I'll be carrying (99% probability)

There's a bar on top of the central...eh, building, I guess is the word. Figured we could meet there, enjoy a couple drinks, talk, what not, then, if we wanted, maybe head to either a different bar (i know one that has Karaoke on Sat, though not the best KJ I've met). And go from there.
By no means is this "my" plan or run by me, so feel free to offer suggestions!

I'm only speaking for myself - have no issues w/ a social drink but I'm not into bar hopping - I would rather get to know others and not get buzzed/drunk off my ass.
There are many restaurants in that area...but I'll say that if the location would cause others not to feel all that comfortable, I would suggest a different venue. Perhaps urbanspoon would be a good idea to check for restaurants?

Completely understand...well a bit more "safe" might be International Plaza/Bay Street by TIA OR perhaps somewhere in the Brandon vicinity.
I know either would be a drive for those in the St Pete/Clearwater area...

I'm guessing no one showed up
The main issue seems to be a lack of regularity w/ some of the FL posters - I get that we have obligations outside of Lit, but why try to set up a plan to meet and then be an infrequent poster to Lit. I think in order for a successful meetup to happen the following should occur:
1. Plan in advance and take a poll on which date/time works
2. Select a restaurant that can be found via gps b/c not everyone is into the bar scene.
