the cast
the distressed witness
bystander 1
bystander 2
the scene
a quiet street outside a small store with large windows. the bystanders are deep in conversation on the corner of the street when they hear the sound of screaming and gunshot. the distressed witness runs out of the shop, bleeding, and approaches the two bystanders.
the talky bit
help! help! there's a robbery!!
see? i told you so! the welfare culture breeds a sense of entitlement and leads to crime.
oh come off it! if he had been given a fair start in life he wouldn't have had to turn to crime.
i've been shot! can you call me an ambulance??
of course, it's the duty of the individual to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for these sorts of medical emergencies.
so you think the poor deserve to bleed out, like this person is doing right in front of me?
help?
people should plan for the unexpected. you can't have personal freedom without personal responsibility.
omg! look through the window!! he's going to shoot the shop keeper!!!
well what do you expect? we live in a culture where gun ownership is glorified. it only encourages violence.
oh purlease!! if all the innocents in that shop had their own guns, like i have in my pocket here, they could shoot the guy and save lives.
why aren't you doing anything??? *dies*
some people! they just expect everyone to fix their lives for them.
don't they realise that debate can change the world?
the end
