Former Sen. Arlen Specter, a Republican who turned Democrat in 2009, said Wednesday that “cannibals” were devouring lawmakers who did not maintain ideological purity.

“Like cannibals eating their own, that’s what’s happening in Washington,” he said on CBS News. “You had a senator like Bob Bennett, with a 93 percent conservative rating, he cast one vote to support the bail out of the auto industry and he got dumped by the Republican Party.”

Specter said the same thing happened on the Democratic side with now Independent Sen. Joe Liebermann.

“The cannibals have taken over and it has produced a gridlocked Senate and a dysfunctional government,” he added.

I thought they were Congregationalists!

Ann Coulter, a controversial backer of Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, suggests that conservatives should begin attacking President Barack Obama’s two young daughters.

On Wednesday, Fox News host Sean Hannity told Coulter that liberals had been “feigning outrage” over radio host Rush Limbaugh calling Georgetown University law student a “slut” because she wanted contraception to be covered by her health insurance.

“Coming from people who are constantly telling us about their abortions and their vaginas, no, I find it very hard to believe that they’re so upset about any word Rush Limbaugh uses,” Coulter explained. “I don’t really care what words people use. I don’t care about dirty jokes, sexist jokes, racist jokes etcetera, etcetera. All I care about is that they be funny. And I would like to hold a little seminar for certain individuals like David Letterman’s writers to explain what is funny and what isn’t.”

I'd sure like all my Congress critters to be dis elected and get a fresh group of statesmen instead of idiots.

It's kinda sad how she can't see how it's relevant to bring up that you have gay family members how can you be so against gay rights as the equivalent of calling Chelsea a dog (which is funny but still wrong) or why a party that runs on family values and no sex before marriage why a pregnant unwed teenager is valid and digging up stuff on Obama's daughters. Not that I think there is any there there which is why nobody's done it yet.

When the truth of the matter is that the Left is so certain they are right concerning race issues, equality issues, environmental issues, abortion, same sex, homosexuality and a bunch more, a litany of certanties that add up to a rock bound ideology from which the Left will never withdrae from until we shoot the veryh last bastard of them. Oh yes, Bastards, as in children with no known fathers, another 'purist' encouragement by the left.

There can be no compromise on values unless there are no values; an ideology without values is called Left Wing Ideology.
