He really does believe in what he touts. I find that fantastic and good for him.

Plus he's so pretty, even in handcuffs, or especially in.

In addition to Clooney and his father, journalist Nick Clooney and Democratic Reps. Jim McGovern of Massachusetts, Jim Moran of Virgina and Al Green of Texas were arrested. Activists including NAACP President Ben Jealous, Martin Luther King III and John Prendergast of the Enough Protest were also arrested

Not a very sexy gang bang George.....

And so fucking what?

An average person protests and they're someone who believes strongly in a cause. An actor protests and he's just an asshole trying to get more publicity. No way do those "people" actually believe in anything.

Now I can't decide if KRC was sarcastic and vette didn't get it. Or if KRC was serious and vette did get it. Or if vette roots for George Clooney.

I'm so confused. :D

If they were not treated special, I bet they would not do it again. It is fine to make a statement, but spending the night in jail is not something the filthy rich would enjoy.

I was being sarcastic. I have no idea what Vette thinks but my guess is he thought I was serious.

His father was arrested too.

They must be pinko bastards.

Shoot the messenger, ignore the message.

Nothing out of the ordinary here.

You dumbfuck.

I agree. At least he chose to get arrested in a country that has civil rights. I mean, how many times has he been to Sudan to help the people there? At least Clooney is doing something he feels is right. And, it is a good cause.

I have no problem with people protesting as long as they follow the law, wether they be rich or poor. The thing is that most of the rich, when they are arrested for protesting are treated differently than a regular person. In a lot of cases you will be in jail 12 -24 hours before you are able to bond out, and in a holding cell with a wide range of criminals. I bet Clooney was not subjected to this and was able to leave fairly quickly.

He spent no time in jail because it was a planned event. Everyone knew ahead of time he would refuse to leave and be cuffed and then released. It's about awareness and it obviously worked since it's been in all the news and people are talking about it here.
This is a relatively common thing with protests. The people get the word out and Johnny Law can say they did their job.
