Seems to be hate for the other guy.

Honestly, Dems and Pubs and Whatevers of the board, have you ever voted for someone electable because you felt "oh yeah, he/she is awesome!" or do you most often look at the other side of the ticket, go "oh HELL naw!", and tick the opposition to avoid a national disaster?

Or do you piss in the wind on no-chance-in-hell candidates?

?

I honestly don't know what I'd do if my vote mattered. I live in California my vote for the presidency literally couldn't matter less. Hell my first election (2004) I wrote in Bruce Wayne. I didn't even bother in 2008 and this year I'm thinking Jack Bauer. It'd be nice to live in a battleground state where I'd actually matter.

I did vote Hillary over Barrack though.

... someone electable because you felt "oh yeah, he/she is awesome!" ...

It has been a long time since that wasn't an oxymoron.

If either side would present someone "awesome" I'd probably vote for them, but for the last several elections, the choice has been for "The Lesser of Two Evils."

I read that as the lesser of two Elvises at first.

I wish Elvis was running. I might not vote for him, but it would make for an interesting campaign, at least.

I have actually voted for people I thought would be at least good, if not necessarily awesome. Most of them lost, and the ones that won were not as good as I'd hoped.
