Woman Killed by Husband's Home-Made Cannon

Two observations.
Why do I suspect the "friend" who was helping the hubby with the cannon was actually vid-camming it for future submission to YouTube or TruTV's "World's Dumbest Practical Jokes" cable TV show?
Does NBC, local or national, ever proofread their web copy? The headline and led ID the couple as BF/GF. The body copy IDs them as husband/wife.
Which brings up a second reality TV possibility, DiscoveryID's cable show "Who the [Bleep] Did I Marry?"

No, the Darwin Award would only apply if the guy had killed himself. Killing his girlfriend doesn't remove his stupidity from the genepool.
