More Stolen Stories - 9Erotica

Was brought up a week or so ago. This is one of the least offensive ones. No ads or malware, the stories are credited by author name ( at least mine and many I recognize ) Mine all link back to Literotica because the author's notes saying that the story is from Lit are intact.

( That's a good idea, btw. Most free story-stealing sites don't bother removing opening notes, because a bot is stealing the stories unseen )

I just accepted this one as free advertising and let it go *shrug*

Comments aren't blocked or moderated, so you can make a comment and point back to your Lit profile or your website if you wish. I would use an email you don't care much about to sign up to comment, though. I used a domain forward address that I can kill at any time.

I'm actually really pissed off. Maybe if a reader had let me know, or asked me, then sure. But I didn't even know until nomoretears00 told me via twitter.

I don't think it's fair that my story gets posted on a sight I don't even know about. Even then, it's only one chapter of a whole series. If you're gonna steal shit, don't steal the first chapter and leave the rest >:O

Only taking one chapter is one of the reasons this one didn't bother me much, actually. If anybody finds it and likes what they see, it's easy enough to follow the mentions of Lit and my author name here to find the rest of the story.

Yeah, they should ask, but when it's going to happen anyway, at least this site is one of the least scumbaggish ones I've happened across.

On a side note, I've been able to recover some writing I had on Literotica I had deleted years ago which I was able to find through Google on websites like these. These stories I also lost long ago in files so it was cool to find them again even if they were stolen because they're archived forever it seems on the Internet on Triple-X links. haha

Interestingly enough, someone at that forum claims to have found the owner's personal email. He also appears to have an Android app.

I found 5 of my stories on 9erotica.

They are an odd selection.

I checked that site too, there were a number of names I recognized, but I'm not there. Isn't that a downer, nobody admits to reading my stories and the places that take stories won't touch me.

As I always say on a thread like this; ignorance is bliss. I don;t google my stories I have no desire to know where they are and go through all that aggravation.

I found all the stories I'd posted on Literotica as jimmyjoyce on 9erotica. There's a Report button in the data box for each story. When I tried to use it, nothing seemed to happen, but when I went back to the site to check a few days later, two of my stories - presumably the ones I'd clicked Report on - had disappeared. So that at least was good news.

I clicked on Report for the remaining seven stories about five days ago but, when I checked back at the site today, they were still in place. 9erotica is an odd site with some apparently blind links and no obvious way of contacting the owners, but I managed to find a link for an e-mail address labelled Copyrights and Complaints on the Search page. It's here:

That gave me an address to write to, so I wrote and asked for all the stories to be deleted, explaining that, although they were under my pen name, they hadn't been posted by me. A few hours later I received a message saying all the stories had been taken down - and it's true. There's still an author account under my name - jimmyjoyce - but it's empty. So success!

Having information pointing back to Literotica in an author's note works as well. Just found this on a bio from someone who commented on one of my stories here:

Little does he know that he's not "following" us here but rather finally finding where the stories actually come from

Regardless, we have at least one reader who's here voting and commenting on our stories, rather than on a site most of the authors who've been lifted from probably don't even know about.

Well 9erotica have two of mine...one is a humor/satire story which is still on Lit here. The other is a loving wives tale that is no longer posted here. That stories body text no longer shows up on 9erotica.

I don't know if they do a real time load of the story from Lit or just check back every once in awhile for any updates that may occur. Too bad for them the update was for a delete of the story at Lit.

Hmmm... That makes me curious. If they're using a scraper to update the stories, that could be something that Manu could possibly detect and block.

Time to see if any of mine they have up are anything I've edited recently.

No luck there. Everything they have up of mine hasn't been edited since it was added to their site.

It appears they deleted a boatload of mine that used to be there which I'd added comments to pointing out that they were lifted from Lit.

Zeb, would you mind PMing me the link to that LW story that's showing up blank on the 9erotica site? If they're live-loading, that link could reveal that to Manu pretty quickly.
